😳 When I lived in Detroit near Downtown, that was my go to spot for Sunday dinner. I was actually satisfied with the flavor, but the servings were not as large as I wanted them to be. That is primarily because the food was that tasty. Now that I’ve moved to the DMV, I really miss restaurants like SouthernFires, MotorCity Soulfood, and Uptown BBQ. The soul food down here is suspect.

You've gotta try the ' Boogaloo Sandwich ' at Chef Greg's Soul 'N'the Wall restaurant in Detroit, located on Curtis/Wyoming streets. The Boogaloo Sandwich is famous sandwich that originated from Brother's Barbecue restaurant that was opened during the 1960's up until the early 90's I believe, but they went out of business and chef Greg is keeping the legacy of the Boogaloo Sandwich alive and kicking!! So hopefully you'll try it before you leave Detroit.

Southern Fires fell off YEARS ago!!! When I got a carry out of grilled chicken breast and it was raw when I cut into it was a wrap for me!!!! And I used to LOVE ❤️ this place 😫😩😤 the Mac and cheese terrible

We have lots of fantastic eateries in Detroit Michigan. Many stopped putting seasonsing due to ....some having hypertension. On every, main street in Det. MI, there used to be eateries. Fish Market..in The D; u buy they fry. Strip Mall. have some burger places....Can I rate them nope.... Imma try the SOME, places you say are good in The D city limits...take a family member with me.... I only heard about the Casinos food. Now, "I noticed "The Hungry Man," commented on your page on fb....He visits, more the semi- to fine dining; Sure, I may patronize SOME, of those. But, to find them, just like home good cooked with noticeable care and love......Especially burgers, I know not. But, I do note the lack of or decline in customers, patrons....caused many Mom&Pops eateries to break even or shutdown.

Usually when the cheese does not melt it's preshredded. They put a coating on it or something to keep it from sticking together and that's what keeps it from melting

You just describe 95% of what was wrong with Detroit restaurants. They have back up service. They don’t do anything with love. That exceeds beyond just food. It’s hard to support some of these Detroit black owned businesses.
