  • Earthquake proof your home, its contents and the people in it with the ABI Piers base isolation system.
It can be retrofitted to an existing home or installed under a new home as part of the foundation.
If you can not get insurance due to earthquake risk this system can be fitted to your home to mitigate risk so that you can become insured. Talk to us for more on this.

I want to modify this for historic building structures. I am doing research in Nepal, Can we collaborate for this?

that looks great. Question: when I first looked into base-isolation for residential homes I was told it wouldn't be practical as the home would move in heavy winds. Have you guys looked into that? I mean, I know they say that "the guy who says, 'it can't be done,' is always surprised by the guy who just did it," so perhaps you've solved this issue? But perhaps this is residential base isolation 1.0, and we're waiting for 1.4 or something before it gets good enough to overcome issues like wind? Very interested to hear your reply.

Car shock absorbers can be put in the walls of a timber house to absorb earthquake energy.

Looks expensive. This doesn’t seem like it addresses lateral shearing above your piers and overkill on single story homes. Perhaps one only needs to bolt the frame to the foundation and plywood for lateral shear wall support. Have these been tested on earthquake simulator. Is this a end user product or a seismic retrofit consultation?

    Too high maintenance per EQ.
Joke is today with the increased EQ frequency, grout would make it cost prohibitive.

Hi my house is about 50 feet from a damage road over a huge water drainage that flows into the harbor, since the road is patched up randomly, causing bumps on the road, resulting in a lot of vibration and walls creeking, aporox15 to 20 times per day. Can your product help, is there any suggestion.. ? Besides moving.feel free to contact me.
