Thanks for showing us a simple and easy way to sharpen the screwdrivers. I was going to ask the same question in your tweezer video but I was beat to it. Keep the videos coming. You do a great job explaining a complicated task making it look easy and not so difficult.
The best screwdriver sharpening video by far. Those rollers other people sometimes use make no sense to me. People use them without getting the flats lined up properly with the stone and end up grinding them on an angle and then they have a tip that is no longer square. Doing this sharpening (actually more of a dressing than a sharpening, IMO) manually like you show makes much more sense and produces a much better tip.
Whenever I watch your vids I have to remember not to be startled by the parrokeet or budgie that screeches periodically in the background making me think I have an escaped bird in my house somewhere.
I was working on a watch with a dull screw driver and guess what happened, the frickin screw driver slipped and destroyed the hair spring, you can imagine my reaction 😂😂

Really helpful content, Mike. Thanks for putting so much thought and care into producing these videos.

Thank you Mike for taking the time to film these tips. I'll try this technique too and I hope I get less screwdriver slips.
No problem, take your time with it and you'll find it easy enough :)
I use a good loupe and ceramics.
They do make a screwdriver guide. I have a Bergeon that works well for many screwdrivers.
