Wow, Dr. Wong is doing great job. I just had my left eye done 2 weeks ago and my right eye done 2 days ago and have Vivity+Toric lens (because of my astigmatism and previous lasik surgery). After 2 weeks my left eye is 20/25 for distance and 20/20 for intermediate & near. Only 2 days my right eye starts to see everything so clear. I see everything so crystal clear that I thought I just bought a new HD TV and laptop though they are 10 years old already. Everything is so clear and beautiful that I miss seeing for a long time. Can't wait to go back to biking in the trails and swimming... Glad I found a good cataract surgeon near where I live.

fundus examination must be perfect this case. Posterior capsule is open . Even if you did the anterior vitrectomy , while extracting of the lens , fluctuation of the vitreus and so retina is dangerous. İmplanting a panoptix on a capture position is really hard nice work sir!

I have negative Dysphotopsia in my left eye after cataract surgery May 2023. I had ROC in November, and it did not correct the negative Dysphotopsia. What now?

Patient with diabetes are implanted with monofocal implants and not the premium implant. At present, I am non diabetic and soon will undergo cataract surgery. The doctor recommended vivity implant. I fear if I am implanted with vivity and become diabetic after 5 years. Will the vivity implant cause any problem and my vision would be compromised?

I'm not a doctor. I am wondering why the pupil would constrict during surgery. Could additional dilation drops pre-op have prevented this?

I had my eyes done almost 3 yrs ago and still having problems seeing clearly. I was also told that they could not replace the lenses. One is a Vivity and the other is a specialty lens but not a panoptic one. I had yag done as well but did not help.

My question is why didn't the original doctor notice the scratch? I have the same symptoms and wondering if this is my problem. Should I ask my doctor to double check for scratches and is this problem hard to detect?

Hi Dr Wong. I Had An Eye Operation From a Reputable Hospital In The Philippines St Lukes Hospital. It Doesnt Mean That When You Go To A Reputable Hospital, It Means Good Eye Doctor. I Was Wrong. My Experience Was So Dissapointing. Instead Of Me Not Wearing Eyeglasses. I Have To Wear It. Is There A Way Where I Can Get Intouch With You.

I don't understand why people like this guy or people with textbook negative dysphotopsia symptoms are getting YAG treatment....

I’m in NC and am scheduled for cataract surgery. I’m apprehensive as the Doctor I talked to spent less than 10 minutes with me and got up and walked out, referring me to his young assistant to answer questions. He also stated there were no restrictions on me lifting weights or bending over the day after surgery. Many of the advices given on RUclips videos by Doctors seem not to apply. Also, he reports that if there are any issues, it’s easy to remove the implant within 1 year. Your revelation of the scratched lens was of course negatively interesting.
My question is, without me naming anyone or referring to any office, should I be looking for another office for my surgery? The guidance I’ve been given doesn’t seem to mirror what other professionals are saying.
Appreciate any comments you might have.

I would suggest if you are uncomfortable with your eye surgeon then seek another surgeon. There are several who perform this type of implant that are quite capable. I had dual implants. It's a very simple procedure for most patients with minimal to no down time.

I know cataract surgery is a big deal for us to wrap our head around. My advice to you is that if you feel apprehensive, wait and talk to at least one more surgeon. Having just gone through surgery myself, I had limited time with my surgeon (they are busy) but used him because he has a good track record. Surgery was uncomplicated and went well but I am left with side effects I had no idea would happen and that even he could not predict. I hope my symptoms will subside. You can even talk to your optometrist for recommendations. Other people you know as well. Look up you dr's reviews - they really can't hide these days. 😉 Dr. Wong can't advise you as it's probably unethical to do so. Take a pause and get to that comfort level. Watch a few more of these videos and advocate for yourself. Trust your instincts to lead you to the right decision. Good luck to you and God bless you. 🙏

Thanks for your suggestion. Most re Jews were great but one reviewer gave a 2 star and had same impression I had. I feel the Dr is proficient, but when someone gets up and walks out of the room, doesn’t give me hopefulness he’ll be there if something goes sideways.
Hope you get through your situation - keep a positive attitude and decide it’ll all be good for you!
