Update. This watch was fast 30 sec/day. It is now about 7sec fast a day. Don’t know how the heck it runs better but I’m happy with that. Russian mechanisms have their own brains I guess. Thx for watching to all 🤝🥃

@@LeoVinteler I have nine Vostok Watches in my watch collection. These watches are usually not well regulated when they leave the factory and gain time. I think they do this to save money. I've taken all of mine to my local Watchmaker to be regulated, and after that, I've noticed that they keep excellent time!

Leo I always enjoy your videos. I enjoy the low key presentation. It’s relaxing and it feels like we’re having a drink together and sharing thoughts on watches. What could be better? I have a Scuba Dude with a beautiful blue dial on a Nato strap. I love the look but I have to say I’m not a fan of the wonky crown design. It’s definitely a challenge to wind and set the date.

Picked one up this year & it's my first Vostok. Mine runs a little fast but I really like it. Just wish I knew about the annoying date change & free spinning bezel that I wish clicked.
@@LeoVinteler I just didn't know it was bi-directional when I got it (my first vostok) and just used to my sub, seiko, and lorier divers all clicking and assumed this was the same/standard. I still love the watch though and it actually gets more looks and compliments than my more expensive watches! Thanks for the reply mate, take care.
I come back to this video after i have seen a fully lume dial in real life, although is a good thing at first, initial enthusiasm...after a while whole dial lumed can become a burden. It's not stealthy at all, maybe at night sometimes it's annoying.
This is my first Vostok and overall I love it. A few negatives: the loose spinning bezel is useless, acrylic dome scratches extremely easily, bracelet has a lot of play in it & no micro-adjustments, date change sucks, and mine has a *very* sharp edged case and runs up to a minute fast a day.

A diver watch that is actually hazardous to dive with thanks to the loose bi-directional bezel. Sorry for the stereotypes but how very Russian :D Also 30s/day is quite extreme for a watch with no hacking.
I know right, no stereotypes here friend, let’s face it, if you dive to 200M you would use other avenues of keeping time and depth. I understand what you say tho, good point Cheers 🍻
Heard that it is supposed to tighten under pressure like the crystal and caseback. And adding to that, I was wondering about the complaints about the lume, and I think, when you're diving so deep that you can't see your watch, you're probably having some sort of light source, sooo you can just put some light on that watch and check how much time you still got.

Vostok maybe are the cheapest all in house watches out here but this doesn't mean that are trash, they are real deal.
