    The Chargers are extremely fortunate to have this young man as their franchise QB. If he stays healthy and continues to improve, Herbert will be a superstar. He was raised right. Intelligent, thoughtful young man.

      @jrsands 3 года назад +9

      @@redjet86 exactly my gut response. JHerb is a superstar right now. He’s also the best QB in the AFC West. He’s better than Mahomes because like Mahomes Herbert has every single throw possible but Mahomes plays more chaotically & less under control than Herbert. Like Staley said “aggressive, not reckless”. Mahomes is clearly more reckless.

    • @crwmdp9

      Yep! He just totally gets it!

      @JDGarza824 3 года назад +1

      @@jrsands That’s ridiculous. Justin Herbert is a great young QB, but he is just beginning his second season and does not even have a playoff appearance yet. Mahomes has been the best QB in football since 2018, he has put up historic numbers that really no QB has ever matched, has led the Chiefs to a Super Bowl, along with another Super Bowl appearance, and an AFC Title Game appearance in his first year as a starter.
      Mahomes is going through a slump right now, but even the greatest quarterbacks have them.

    I didn’t follow Oregon while Justin was their QB but I did hear a lot of questions about his character and leadership skills during the draft process. It just makes me scratch my head like who tf where all the other 31 teams sending to scout this kid.

    • @joeystew2502
      @joeystew2502 3 года назад

      No one doubted his character. Thought he was too quiet to be a leader. Oregon's receiver's weren't very good and the coaching staff did not exploit Justin's now very obvious talent. It all added up to question marks. Even as an Oregon fan, there were some throws that Justin made (or didn't) that were really frustrating. I'm glad the Chargers picked him up and exposed him to real quarterbacks coaches.
