Don’t shy away from sharing your faith! It’s a part of who you are. ☺️🫶 So jealous you got to go to Baker Book House! There isn’t one near me. Redeeming Love is a phenomenal book. I’d love to hear what other clean and Christian books you’re reading. 👏
Love this! I saw a tiktok that said “Don’t compromise The Truth because it makes other people uncomfortable” and I think that is sooo real! At times we want to share the Lord and all His goodness, but it might make others uncomfortable. But, we are a light and are called to share the Good News ♥️ You never know how He will use you to grow His Kingdom by simply sharing your faith with others 🥰 Love your videos! 💞☺️
Choose Joy by Kay Warren is one of my favorite “more” on the “religious side” of books. But to me it gives perspective more than shoving religion down people’s throat. It’s a great start to people who wants to dabble into Christianity but are maybe still unsure where to start. And you don’t have to be religious to learn something out of it. 🫶🏻 Again! I really love your channel! 🥰
I just started my no spice/no smut journey as well!! As a Christian too, I just felt weird reading those books and having to skip those scenes and I really just felt God calling me higher and to not read those types of books. I’ve been trying to research not only Christian fiction but also secular books with no smut/no spice and also little to no swearing if I can 💖
@@AllyssaRoberson also it’s kind of a bummer buying a book for $20 and only reading 80% of it 😅 like Ali Hazelwood’s Not in Love I heard was 40% smut, I’m not spending $17 for 60% of a book 🫠
I have been wanting to go to Baker to film too.☺️ I can’t wait to read Redeeming Love…I actually have 2 copies I have also been wanting to build my Christian collection. ❤
It is my dream to go into a Barnes and Noble one day 🙈✨️ how sweet of your subscriber to send you these books! I cannot wait to read one dark window! Lovely video as always Allyssa 🥰
Great video! I love Katherine Center books, and I really enjoyed Hello Stranger. Check out The Rom-Commers andThe Bodyguard if you haven't already. Both are excellent. She's a new favorite for me, and I'm sloooowly making my way through her backlist. I LOOOOVED The Housemaid's Secret more than the first one, and I thought The Housemaid was great too. I wasn't a fan of the third book, but it could just be me. I have One Dark Window to read too, and I was planning to read it this month, but I'm hoping to read it in September or October since it has fall vibes. I'm also hoping to read Binding 13 in the next month or two as well. I've heard such good things about that entire series. Love your videos!
I loved the 2nd housemaid book! Read it in 2 days. The 3rd was slower imo. It didn't really pick up until the last third of the book. But then it got intense lol.
Redeeming Love is an intense read. It definitely has some triggering topics and steamy not graphic scenes. I would be curious your opinions because I have heard mixed reviews from Christians and mental health therapists. I read the book 10 years ago. So I don’t think I could give a good opinion anymore.
You should read the Cheat Sheet and The Rule Book by Sarah Adams!! That's my 2 fav books of her - so funny and cute. And please share with us your reviews about the book you finish reading too!! BTW, you are so so beautiful girl
Nicholas sparks is my all time fave author. Dear John and A Walk to Remember are my favorites of his. The Last Song definitely made me bawl my eyes out but I didn’t like the movie at all 😅
I just finished my first Elsie Silver book. I didn't like all the cursing during the sex scenes. How does clean romances differ from her books? No language and closed door?
Hey Allyssa, really nice video ! I was wondering if I could help you with more Quality Editing in your videos and also make a highly engaging Thumbnail and also help you with the overall youtube strategy and growth ! Pls let me know what do you think ?
I knew it! I'm a newer subscriber and you totally give the vibes that you're a Christian. I would like to read more Christian fiction too. However, the ones I've picked up have very basic writing and really shove the point down your throat instead of letting the reader figure out the message. Ted Dekker is a great Christian Thriller writer and I also does sci-fi, but I haven't been a fan of those. I really want Christian Romantasy books.
@@heathers_happily_ever_afters I haven’t read them yet, but I’ve heard great things about Mortal Queens by Victoria McCombs, The Nightmare Virus by Nadine Brandes, and the author C.F.E. Black if those pique your interest for fantasy!
Love that you’re talking about your faith more 🥹🩷🩷 I wish I had a baker book house closer to me!
🤍🤍

You should definitely try Karen Kingsbury! She writes Christian Fiction and her books are so good!
thank you for the rec!!
The Shepherd King duology (One dark window is the first one) is a great fantasy without spice. It was my favourite this year!
sweet thank you!
I love the movie the best of me so I bet the book is so good!
I love Katherine center! She’s one of my favorite authors now. The bodyguard and hello stranger are my favorite so far

Ohh super fun!! I went to a Christian bookstore not realizing it was closing down and I got huge discounts years ago!
You’re very sweet. It’s nice to see a Booktuber who doesn’t like the spice
Thank you for sharing your faith glad I clicked on your video 😊
This video was so much fun to watch!😍
thank you!!🤍
I’ve wanted to read Katherine Center! I’ve heard really good things about her writing!
Love this ❤❤❤❤
the masterpiece by francine rivers is so good as well!
oh good to know!!
I’ve been doing that I didn’t start to love to read until age 17, so now I go back and read middle grade and young adult books. ❤
