i love crossrope and jumping rope. changed my life for the better. i work on an oil rig, and whilst others struggle and take breaks, im able to go from the main deck all the way to the 4th level deck (8 flights of stairs) without losing breath. great thing about jumping rope, aside from the benefits you can see - such as weight loss and better frame, are the benefits you cant see - such as fitness, taking longer to tire and get out of breath, cardiovascular improvement...im suddenly so much more flexible and i can sit down in a squat - i never could do that before.
Thanks, I'll try this because I struggle to skip for more than 60secs so I'm going to set myself a target of 4 sets of 40 seconds of skipping and x time of resting rope swings to build myself up gradually.. it'll be better than learning over gasping for air like I'm used to doing.
This is just super teaching and encouragement. I think this video should be moved into the introduction of Crossrope jumping. I'm well past the beginner stage but would have enjoyed this when I started. Thanks Dave!
thanks for the video, Dave. I am a total beginner here and the truth is when i watched your video, it seems so easy. But when I start to jump, I can never last more than 30 seconds. hahaha
I have New Balance, but also just got a pair of Nike's. As long as they have full-foot cushioning, the sole goes all the way to the front of the toe, and the sole doesn't have too deep of grooves, you should be good!
