This blew me away this morning I assume it’s a surprise drop since no one was talking about it So emotional it felt like it was his lyrics. This is my favorite vocals I have heard from Ronnie. I do think he is picking up where he left off.
I listened to the original back in the day, and liked it. I was not expecting this kind of emotional shift though wow, took me by surprise. I like the first version for it’s raw rage about feeling like that, and respect the hell out of this version for revealing the more vulnerable side of it. The reaching out of ‘tell me I’m fine’, the begging to be ok, in contrast to the original sounding like a challenge. Well reacted too, great vibes!
I remember when Papa Roach bisted on the scene with this song and still love it to this day. There is a youtube video of Ronnie having Jacoby listen to it. It was recorded on Ronnies cell phone, him and a piano. Jacoby loved it

you know... watching this music video I felt a weird childhood trauma I felt when I was a little girl. Growing up I loved this song and the way papa roach sang it where the music really overshadowed the words and now that this generation is grown we are dealing with the reality of the things we must now really listen too.
I agree, I actually like this version better. And I remember when the original came out (I was a junior in highschool) and it was great then, but I didn't really FEEL the lyrics like I did with this one. This song represents how I feel in life currently, it's just such a such a powerful rendition of the song. And yes, I do think it was meant to be a continuation of WTWB. I think it's kind of a window to his soul. One angry, and tired of having to constantly defend himself and his talents, and then the other, the pain and heartbreak he's gone through. How all of the negativity affects him. With people like Ronnie, Ren, and Tom -- their music is just like diary entries. I love that I feel like I know them through their music.
