I love how he says 'you may have to shorten that or relocate it in another position' - as though people don't live in pre-built homes. How is someone in a condo going to relocate their laundry room? How are they going to shorten the run? Have you built your machines to work in existing homes, or are you expecting people to build their homes around your dryer specs?
Dryer venting is based on very old, established building standards. The requirements are basically the same for every brand. These standards are based on maintaining adequate dryer performance but mostly on safety to prevent a lint fire. If you discover your condo does not have the capacity for adequate dryer venting, it's probably time to check the plumbing and electrical systems as well.
@@j.frankparnell3087 Uhm, if a condo was built with a long run for the dryer - what, exactly, is the owner to do about that? Maybe just buy a dryer that doesn't suggest 'shortening the run'.
@@HeatherSpoonheim Maybe find a better condo to live in? Are you suggesting that somebody should make a special dryer just to operate in your dodgy condo? I realize you are obviously frustrated. But this video wasn't made directly for you.
@@j.frankparnell3087 I have a 2 meter run - not my problem. As you said, though, building codes around these things go way back, so maybe the dryer should be designed to run in homes as they have been built for decades rather than suggesting people 'shorten the run'.

Can anyone please tell me, how far up from the floor is the dryer vent opening on the back of the Lg Tower washer dryer? I’m having model #WKE100HWA delivered next week. I would like the exhaust box to be installed to line up with the dryer exhaust hole so the unit can be as close to the wall as possible. I called Lg customer service. They couldn’t give me an answer.

This washer cleaning video was not helpful in learning how to clean or remove the gunk that has built up over time between the drum and the seal. I have used the tub clean cycle with bleach, lemon shine, vinegar, and none of those methods worked.

LG really hit it out of the park when they eliminated the front lower access panel. When you need to replace the heating element or any of its associated sensors you must disassembly most of the unit to get to it. If you thought it a good idea to stack your units the joke gets even funnier. These units are a DIYers worst nightmare and if you pay a serviceman--$$$$$$ I will never buy another.

Or don’t buy a house where the dryer vent doesn’t directly go outside. I’m not buying a house where the dryer vents up thru the roof or around corners because the laundry room is not on an exterior wall.
Hi, Gearld! To deactivate your dryer's child safety lock, please make sure your dryer is on, then press and hold the appropriate child safety lock button for 3 seconds. We've attached 2 links with more info below; be sure to let us know if this helps! spr.ly/6051ON55L spr.ly/6052ON550 ^Ian

you mention securing the two pipes using duct tape. I think you you meant to say to use HVAC metal ducting tape.

Might be a better idea to show how to connect rather than pointing to a manual.

Can you use an adjustable periscope dryer vent with the LG dryer when it is stacked on top of the washer?
