- In this video, we take you to the Northeast Corridor on Amtrak's busiest day of the year - Thanksgiving Sunday.
We catch over 40 trains in the space of one afternoon, as we watch the action at Princeton Junction station, accompanied by Turbocharged Rail Videos: / @turbochargedtransit7241
Great job! Great place to watch trains. Allegedly Einstein would come here-taking a break from Princeton-and watch the parade...
I love the NJ Transist train horns!
Looking forward to the day Amtrak replaces those 20th century rail coaches.
An RFP was requested for the Amfleets, but no one would step up to the plate (Not CAF, nor Bombardier)
@@Cards8114 Hopefully someone does; Alstom? Siemens? Stadler?
@@TheRailwayDrone Maybe Siemens, cause they're building corridor cars for Caltrans and IDOT
@@Cards8114 Stadler is building those cars, correct?
@@TheRailwayDrone No, Siemens Mobility
Wow that first k5la was beautiful!
1:38 oh crap it’s Aaron Klem, I need to bleach my eyes now.
The southbound track is what AMTRAK WANTS TO BRING UP TO 160 MPH WITH THE NEW ACELAS, LETS SEE WHAT ITS LIKE WHEN THEY START TESTING, THEN WE'LL SEE.....
I did this at Metropark in 2018. Last year, I rode #1065 from New York to Washington Union Station. It was the finest hours.
Nice video! I love all the meets!
@ 5:56 a 10 car train.... The way every regional should be🙄
That’s nice a private car too
I do like the Northeast corridor. The trains are so fast!
Great video dude 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
thanksgiving sunday huh? might go to linden or metropark or princeton junction ;)
Great video
MARC coaches in New Jersey?
Amtrak usually operates a couple of MARC sets every Thanksgiving Sunday in order to add two extra trains to the schedule to meet demand.
Jus’ imagine if them AEM-7’s, and F40ph’s still ran on the NEC! Yea that would be pretty dope!
I wish the old Amfleet coaches would eventually be completely replaced by Viewliner-style rolling stock...
Replace them with a reboot of a1980s design? No, thanks... their likely replacements are the Siemens cars similar to those on Brightline. Much more modern and stylish looking...
Why is that Amtrak sprinter leading a ton of Marc coaches with a Metroliner cab car
To cope with the higher demand on Thanksgiving Sunday, Amtrak leases two sets of MARC cars for additional capacity.
Thanks, I also noticed on one of the northeast regional it had a cab car in the middle
12:51 was that the cabcar's horn or the acela horn
Cab car I believe
What's the name of the varnish at time mark 16:29?
OHCR 80003, Sugar Creek
@@HighIronProductions Cool. It's the car regularly parked at the station here in Pittsburgh. Have seen it many times. Thank you.
Sorry about getting in your shot! Lmao
No worries, nice to meet you out there!
Hi I'm a fan of your videos
I thought galvanized steel didn’t rust
I hate that camera angle
Nice Video... What Camera do you use? Is the video Color graded? Looks like HDR..
Thanks! This, and most of our more recent videos, was shot on a Sony A7III. It was color graded - well spotted!
I thought it was Canon, bright vibrant colors...great job on the color grading!
Crumbling concrete not a big problem unless its at the edge of a platform and could end up with someone falling in front of a train. Quite sure the contractor was paid a kings ransom to install the platforms and should be made to fix them . Other than that great video.
What???
