Greatest baseball video game intros ever. The way they used sound effects to give you the feel of flying over was spectacular and for 1997-1998 the graphics are quite compelling! As a Canadian, I’m so glad they had our national anthem in both English and French. I also noticed that depending on the city, the singers had a specific sound that represented that region. Texas, Atlanta and Houston all had country-style singers, Detroit had a Motown style singer and New York had an opera singer. San Diego seemed to me to have the most rousing national anthem. And man, do I miss the old Tiger Stadium!!
Absolutely loved the Triple Play series from 98 to 2000. Had them on PC, and the intros and music were some of my favorite parts. Thanks for uploading this!
Simply an outstanding upload. I could not remember the title of this game. After Googling "baseball video games of the 90's" I found it. What I always did remember from playing this game in college, high as a kite, were the amazing stadium fly-overs. And here they all are. Ohh the 90's. Awesome job man.
The Reds stadium may be called Cinergy Field in this game and officially before it was imploded, but it'll always be remembered as Riverfront Stadium. For some reason, it still holds a special place for me even though it was a cookie cutter that looked a cereal bowl with mold on the bottom
God I use to love this game. The nostalgia vibes hits hard here. I really enjoyed it when the National Anthem singer puts some extra sauce in the end that one of the players jumps in excitement
Thanks for uploading this. I would usually say the MVP Baseball 2005 was the greatest baseball game made, BUT this game has always been amazing to me. The stadium intros amazed me then, and still do to this day. Nothing can top this. Nothing. Nostalgia has hit me right in the feels after watching this.... and of course, Go Braves!
Not only that, the specific style of the anthem sung matches the city it’s in (i.e. O Canada in French for Montreal, a country-style version of the Star Spangled Banner for Texas and Houston, operatic style for the Yankees, etc.)
Riverfront. Three Rivers. Tiger Stadium. The Murph. Candlestick. The Vet. The original Yankee Stadium. I miss them all. Thank God for Fenway, Wrigley and Dodger Stadium ...the three oldest parks in the MLB.
Of course the best at the last Colorado Coors Field! This is so cool. I thought I was the only fan of the intro of the fields. Pretty cool thanks for posting this! Makes me want to buy an old PS2 and play this.
Dunno why, but the explosion sound at the start of the flybys and the whooshing as the camera pans around the stadium just makes these intros awesome and feel more epic.
This is an amazing amount of detail, especially for an old game. I wonder if there are any out-of-bounds glitches you could exploit for this game to make the streets/lots outside the stadium playable.
Cleveland Indians was my favorite intro even though I'm not a fan of the team. If I were gonna sing the national anthem at a ballgame... That's how I would bring it home. Skip to 2:50.
Personally: My 5 favorites- Toronto, Montreal (O Canada!), Colorado, Seattle, Houston 5 least impressive- Florida, Pittsburgh, Tampa Bay, Boston, Milwaukee
unstablerooster Forever be Florida Marlins to me as well!I hope one day the Montreal Expos Organization will return again and the Milwaukee Brewers and Houston Astros will go back to their previous leagues!
My favorite MLB teams are the Toronto Blue Jays and the Montreal Expos. They have the best introductions ever! They have their Canadian national anthem in English and in French.
Still think Turner Field intro was best with the best timing. As a kid I also enjoyed Olympic Stadium bc it looked so cool but of course was unaware of all the issues it had lol.
Just awesome, nostalgia. Tampa Bay will now share a team with Montreal, I thought the Covid pandemic killed any chance of baseball coming back up north but thank God it hasn’t.
The Baltimore O's stadium is Oriole Park at Camden Yards but due to Copyright it is called Baltimore Stadium in this game but not in Triple Play 97. How dumb of EA.
The best intros in my opinions are Angels, Athletics, Blue Jays, Indians, Orioles, Rangers, Red Sox, Royals, Tigers, Twins, Astros, Braves, Cardinals, Expos, Mets, Padres & Rockies.
i LOVED THIS GAME!!!!!! someone help me find the acid jazz track on youtube!!!! lol. seriously, i used to just set the AI to play against each other in my own fantasy post season.... and even score it. lol.
Wow first team major blunder.. Anaham Angels? Anaheim Angels is more like it. Classic in game commentary and the sponsors in the games were funny. 2001 i believe todays game is brought to you by chork! not quite chicken, not quite pork. Chork. Created by science loved by everyone. Lobster cola lol.. memories this and sports talk baseball. Texas rangers were loaded in that game.
Brought back so many memories...the funny thing is that many of those stadiums don't even exist anymore...
Like The Kingdome and Milwaukee County Stadium. If I'm correct, I was told Miller Park was built right next to County Stadium.

The best intros in any video game. Today and yesterday.
Absolutely loved the Triple Play series from 98 to 2000. Had them on PC, and the intros and music were some of my favorite parts. Thanks for uploading this!

1983jblack I was just thinking, is that stadium located on a dock? I think I can hear a boat horn in the distance.
Used to go to riverfront stadium as a kid. Not much to it but stayed jumping, good teams back then
Couldn’t get some of the rights. Still a great feature. Especially growing up and this was cutting edge at the time
I loved playing this game in the astrodome
It’s amazing to see the ratio of specific purpose to duel purpose stadiums back then.
Never knew Olympic Stadium had a tram/elevator that went up and down the building. Montreal needs to get a team again
They are now the Nationals, they won a World Series in 2019.
Jacobs field looks amazing!!
I could really go for a Lobster Cola right about now...
Or a Dodd's Hot Dog...the only hot dog with a PRIZE INSIDE!
Super Minty Pork Chops!
And take a flight to Vegas via Gamma Air Ways.
Manu Ginobilis Bald Spot and a bottle or two of beef flavored iced gravy.
Mmmmm... lobster cola 😋
Man spend hours playing this after school.. the stadium angle were ahead of its time
Exactly 🔥🔥
God I use to love this game. The nostalgia vibes hits hard here. I really enjoyed it when the National Anthem singer puts some extra sauce in the end that one of the players jumps in excitement

Mvp baseball 05 was best game i’ve ever played
@@brandenbarnett6093 I loved that game.
Oh I used to love playing this baseball series!
Oh sweet nostalgia.. Loved this series so much when I was younger!
Love how each of the national anthems are specifically tailored to the city/region of the team.
The American stadiums play The Star-Spangled Banner, while the Canadian stadiums play O Canada.
That's what I liked about it. It was very unique.
@@kookaman6095 And I believe Montreal has the French language translation playing - great detail!
Not only that, the specific style of the anthem sung matches the city it’s in (i.e. O Canada in French for Montreal, a country-style version of the Star Spangled Banner for Texas and Houston, operatic style for the Yankees, etc.)
I like that it sounds like different singers every stad.
I can't believe all those old stadiums were still around in 1998
I'll take a Lobster Cola, a couple Dodd's Hot Dogs, and front row seats at Coors Field.
Those national anthems was classic
Riverfront. Three Rivers. Tiger Stadium. The Murph. Candlestick. The Vet. The original Yankee Stadium. I miss them all. Thank God for Fenway, Wrigley and Dodger Stadium ...the three oldest parks in the MLB.
awesome man, thanks for posting! I played so much Triple Play '97 on the PS1, and then this one...the intro to Triple Play '97 is also very good.
97 & 98 were the last true great baseball games in my eyes.
The national anthem singer at the Cleveland Indians stadium really hit the high note when he said “brave”.
Of course the best at the last Colorado Coors Field!
This is so cool. I thought I was the only fan of the intro of the fields. Pretty cool thanks for posting this! Makes me want to buy an old PS2 and play this.
I might pop this in sometime considering I still have it.
Love these fly-ins from back in the day!
pitbull64 I like the ones for the indoor stadiums. It sounds like breaking glass when it goes through the roof, Especially the one forTampa Bay.
the best way to be introduced to the San Diego Padres as a 9 year old kid. It's been rough riding ever since but what an intro to mlb...
Things are looking up!
Dunno why, but the explosion sound at the start of the flybys and the whooshing as the camera pans around the stadium just makes these intros awesome and feel more epic.
That part in the intro when is time to the Turner Field, and sounds this lines of the anthem says ¨In the home of the Braves¨ yes in deed. xD
Great idea to make a video like this! Thank you for posting.
Devil Rays with the all-dirt infield
Looks like a Softball field
@@kapo2012fb I was wondering why that looked weird.
Those were very fun to watch!
Memories man , being a kid up all night in 5th grade playing this , only time my Seattle Mariners won a World Series !! 😂😂😂😂
I hope really hope the Expos come back one day.
Anaham Angels lmao
This was my first baseball game. Love this game. Double play ! That’s huge!
This is amazing! I wish 2K sports did something similar!
Thanks for reminding me of greatness. #salute
The people in Oakland outside the stadium are walking at 60 mph
RIP Ken Caminiti
Padres
This is an amazing amount of detail, especially for an old game. I wonder if there are any out-of-bounds glitches you could exploit for this game to make the streets/lots outside the stadium playable.
lol breaking through the roof of the Rays stadium
I loved the intros for the indoor stadiums.
The San Diego one was my favorite intro
what i find really cool was how they actually have different versions/style of the singing for every stadium
@@TripleCCreation it seems like they use the same singers for a few of them, or the same recording for others.
Gamma Airways. Non stop from Minneapolis to St Paul
Cleveland Indians was my favorite intro even though I'm not a fan of the team. If I were gonna sing the national anthem at a ballgame... That's how I would bring it home. Skip to 2:50.
BRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAVE
I would love to see MLB The Show incorporate exterior shots like this!!!!!
The only baseball game where I completed a 162 game season, not sure if that’s good or bad.
Nice touch by EA Sports to have the Canadian National Anthem sung in French for the Expo scene.
Personally:
My 5 favorites- Toronto, Montreal (O Canada!), Colorado, Seattle, Houston
5 least impressive- Florida, Pittsburgh, Tampa Bay, Boston, Milwaukee
What the hell were they thinking leaving Tropicana field with no turf on the diamond
It's Chicken, it's Pork, it's CHORK.
Chork is the taste that nature forgot. Also available in chork light.
The Toronto Skydome is nowadays called the Rogers Centre since Rogers acquired the property in 2005, and it still continues today...
Back when sports games were all about fun and not fancy graphics and complex gameplay.
jpowers55 I'm sorry but back then, those graphics were the s***!
jpowers55 i do agree games nowadays are only about graphics
A few AAA games and some or most indie games
The developers in Baseball games today need to bring back the great intros, and more fun side games.
So many of those stadums are gone now.
The helicopter at Busch Stadium. Awesome.
This game was great. But always halfway through the season, my saved data would get corrupted and I'd have to start over.
Wrong! The Ballpark In Arlington didn't have a color center field video board until the 2011 season.
The intro to start the game is still 🔥
Still have this game on PC 😊 can't play it though 🤣
Did ya'll notice that the L.A. Dodgers and S.F. Giants had the same singer?
Orande Francis I think it's the same singer for Chicago's stadiums.
memories of my childhood OMG
It makes me I wanna play Triple Play I never played this game before
Nice, maybe you have tried MVP baseball series, which is what triple play became
@@TripleCCreation I did play All-Star Baseball series I played '02 and I had so much fun since I was little
In my opinion, excluding the NC a a titles, the' 98 series of EA Sports games were the best.
I could go for an ice cold lobster cola right about now
Florida Marlins! That's my team! (Fuck Miami Marlins) forever in my heart my favorite team
Your stupid
unstablerooster Forever be Florida Marlins to me as well!I hope one day the Montreal Expos Organization will return again and the Milwaukee Brewers and Houston Astros will go back to their previous leagues!
Pimpczar2011 Astros won the world series though
Kingdome 🔥
Hoping for a shot of the famous sign in front of Wrigley. Wonder why it wasnt used
My favorite MLB teams are the Toronto Blue Jays and the Montreal Expos. They have the best introductions ever! They have their Canadian national anthem in English and in French.
Refreshing Iced Gravy
Apparently Ed made the ad graphics
Still think Turner Field intro was best with the best timing. As a kid I also enjoyed Olympic Stadium bc it looked so cool but of course was unaware of all the issues it had lol.
Man, I would love an iced gravy right now
durpyhotdogs in what flavor? Beef, chicken, or turkey?
Just awesome, nostalgia. Tampa Bay will now share a team with Montreal, I thought the Covid pandemic killed any chance of baseball coming back up north but thank God it hasn’t.
Lobster cola and minty pork chops!

Nicholas M Daskievige it's the same thing for Anaheim. What's that one called?
Now it’s called angel stadium but idk that was a different stadium
It was Edison field
0:06 who trucks that catcher?
2:40 Tampa didn’t have an all dirt infield right? Wtf
Also it’s Anaheim.... sorry to bed that dude
Been.....lookin.....4.....this!!!!!

is this THE Mike "Swanny" Swanson? i used to bunt DINGERS with you dude.
The tiger stadium she had soul
My favorite intros are the Montreal Expos and the Toronto Blue Jays.
Oakland As singer😂😂😂 and the Texas singer😂
good game
Video game companies aren’t brave enough to add the national anthem in today’s game, and it’s truly saddening.
I'm hankering for a Chork Lite.
Tampa Bay's dirt infield looks like a slice of pizza.
Fantastic video , I used to play while sucking down an ice cold Lobster Cola
I'll stick to refreshing iced gravy myself.
Any chance you could do a video like this for Triple Play 97?
Another Baaaaall!!
Chork half chicken half pork, chork.
I have this game some where.if they made a game the year I was born it would be" ea sports triple play 78" 20 yrs b4 this 1
Lol
