Amazing videos! Can't stop watching since your Jiri to Lukla episodes. Hoping to do Jiri to EBC to Gokyo Oct to Nov this year, so I'm taking a lot of notes here. Cheers.

When I crossed the Cho La pass in November 2018 the glacier was shorter and steeper and was hard, clear ice (like an ice cube). I had microspikes which saved the day as without them it would have been dangerous. I preferred the Kongma La pass however I had a chest infection at this stage of the hike so was feeling pretty bad which coloured my perception.

Yes we had some pretty optimal conditions for sure

@@ChrisonTour I did a lot of research before I did the trek and the consensus seemed to be that Cho La was the easiest. That was not my experience so it just shows you have to be prepared for all eventualities.
Have you seen the ban on independent trekking in Nepal? You were so lucky to go when you did. Just got there in time. I am so, so glad that in recent years I did the Annapurna circuit, ABC and three passes before this law came in. What sad times. Every year it seems freedom and independence is curtailed. We are in a race to see the world before more of these restrictions come in.
