I met Mo twice in Miami . 5 years apart ,and he remembered me. My name and where I was from . First time was backstage which was nice ,but 2nd time was at a fish market . We sat on a picnic table and talked for half an hour . We talked about our kids ,spouses , Nashville ( he loved Country music) and his sobriety . He was older than me ,but I couldn’t concentrate on the conversation for watching his beautiful smile and hearing his contagious laugh . So freaking handsome ,and somewhat of a flirt,without going over the line . He was just amazing , I cried fro weeks when he suddenly passed . For the loss of a beautiful man and for all of his loved ones loss . He sure loved Yvonne !!💔
I've been a BeeGees fan for over 45 years, yet I have never met any of them, and didn't get a chance to see, or (more importantly) hear them in concert, but I always knew that, like the Beatles, all of the Brothers Gibb were good dudes! AWESOME story! 👍❤

Maurice, has the most beautiful smile, of the three of them. I'm a Barry, fanatic but when Moe got older he became really good looking in my eyes. His smile makes me melt . When he did man in the middle I really believe that song was about it him always being in the middle of Barry, and Robin and they're disagreements. From the history I know, Mo, kept everybody together. Fitting song is man in the middle for Mo. They all had fantastic, fantastic, voices. Something tells me you already did the song. I will look it up later.
Maurice sure had many many talented , he was a truly remarkable artist , he arranged the band to get things ready for the music stage and played many instruments , he went through his personal drama but beat it and just became so much better in every thing he did , mauruce was nit able to sing lead many times and if he did Barry sang with his music he had a truly amazing voice and as a person man he was a remarkable amazing sweet funny amazing man he’s certainly truly missed

Wow, you feel exactly as we who grew up with them feel. Pure love for their music. So many of us were devastated when Mo died. The 3 spokes of a perfect wheel, and then one gone. It was beyond sad. BeeGees, my fav forever.
We were around the corner from them in Manchester, we love them too, inside they still our Manchester boys, we proud they got out and followed their dreams, they deserve only the highest praise and loved having them so close, we seen them a few times, n now treasure our signed photos of them, and rob and mo were so dry so fun and made us all laugh, their was a time the twins played near n swung rothe lampost at the bottom of the road n poor Barry laughing dragging them off. He's always been the best guiding loving big brother, and he adores them. And all had the amazing god given voice s n each were staggering at wat they could do, we remember the fun and games and them being so natural and normal around us. So very proud of them very, and we love them as the one and only bee gees but as comedic men and best song writing and singing this world has ever or will ever see again. Three so sadly missed. N Barry wow with you're family U are great N doing it for the brothers Maurice and Rob, and Andrew. God bless them all. How blessed we were how!!!, so lucky we were. Their music last eternal

@@deborahh2556 yes so special each day we wake up we see them on our wall, and listen to their old stuff, remember their giggle s, and was lucky to go to see jive talking which Barry worked alongside his brother's with. They told us in a chat, they were in Miami in their place and was literally shaking as the boys walked in the room, but quickly all were natural n laughs all around. N then all rob,Barry ,n mo sed sing with us, n the robin who's name is jack couldn't was too scared, but our rob went up n sed come on you got to be me and giggled, and was took off to do stuff just them two, n then the jive talking Barry copy man was taught by real Barry gib , not just singing but level s confidence n most to be natural, Maurice was just in fits of giggle s, and went to the other guy and worked with him. Got a lot done and a jamming session till 3 in the morning, next day the bee gees n them had breakfast n went studio, n they sat at the back n shouted now be us we'll try. And they did their best and rob and mo had tears, n sed wow. U the best, just need how we asked but jack then sed I can't do it as it's Infront of you, but rob shouted wat U gota do is be totally us n give Ur audience of fans have the best night of their lives as if they actually been with us singing in our front room du get it, n they go home saying omg we went to see the bee gees, n mo sed Wats better than that, n for some a life long dream. N il tell you omg they was same in their moving around funny like them n sing same, and most the mannerism s perfect as our Barry sed. I always wanted to see them in concert but coz of money at the time couldn't, but this fab man now with rescue me from that, n took me to this concert of jive talking, and the other we both wanted to see n Maurice liked ,the real stylistic s.and they were fab, next is the best George Michael there is

And boy Debra Maurice looks so hot and fab in them hats ,with or without was absolutely gorgeous. And wat alot people dnt know is he is majorly talented more than the twins too, he could sing high and just chose to keep to middle and lower range as it was comfortable for him. Unless U knew him he was a bit shy n wasn't as confident coming to sing lead as his brother s, but he shouldn't have carried that but he did all his life, and was such a beautiful man in person n knew alot and being the peace maker of the group looked after them too, just as a kid didn't get enough confidence that was needed to push forward but also was excellent song writer and musician, and his sense of fun beyond the scale, he used to jokingly wander into the middle of the street to scare Barry and then in the alley play games we used to be so nawty playing with matches n making our own bangers in the ginels were no one could see us, I set fire to boxes. N we used to go in abandoned bombed houses n climb in on the bricks to see Wats inside. But that was just our normal, our play out as we called it. Some of us looked after people s cars on match days too. I'm glad to share these things with you, we all got out n moved to new better places and did better stuff, they Australia and America and us down by the coast.

Amazin' guitarist is Alan Kendall, nearly 30 years with the brothers. Watch him on "Wouldn't I Be Someone" 1974, done live, to find on youtube a few times. First leadvocal by Maurice was in Australia, the song is called "All By Myself", also on youtube, but only audio.

I’ve been told that Maurice brought to the Bee Gees his musical talent. I mean he was searching for new sounds more than Barry or Robin. The Bass drum or whatever it is that we hear is a mix of several sounds to get this.
I remember, when I saw her for the first (and last 😢) time in Bercy France in 1989, the sound was different. Still good, but different.

"Still Waters" had three really great tunes that were this style of smooth R&Besque music that were more sensual than their normal fare-this one, With My Eyes Closed and I Surrender. I was obsessed with those songs when the album came out and I still adore them.
Some other Maurice lead vocals: Man In The Middle, Wildflower, On Time (1972), Trafalgar and Country Woman (both 1971), Lonely Winter, Lay It On Me, Suddenly, It's Just The Way...and there are of course plenty of songs where you hear him for just a line or three (a weird example being 1968's Such A Shame where he shares the vocal with Vince Maloney)

Apart from Maurice ' amazing voice ,I also loved his falsetto, especially he sung out in the 1967 performance in the song 'To love Somebody ' . But he was replaced by Robin in the later performance of the song.😅❤
The other guitarist next to Alan Kendall is Barry’s son Stephen. Love how Barry waves to their families about halfway through the song. He seems to do that about every song during all their concerts. They once said in an interview how their families usually go with when touring, but especially other countries, as it’s really an education in itself to explore other cultures😌.

Mo was the man in the middle. Literally. And yes they all sing on all their songs. Dont quote me but my guess is he came up with the idea, and then they all got together and brainstormed. And that's how they did it most of the time. Like Barry said one of us came up with an idea then we would go to the studio and work on it. Music first, then they worked on the lyrics. The Bee Gees have been a part of my life through elementary, middle, and high school, and as young bride, and now as a grandmother. Their music is hauntingly beautiful, ethereal, and diverse.
I have adult kids (4), and 4 grandkids. I have introduced The Bee Gees to all of them, and they love this music. In our home, music filled the air, because we wanted to expose them to as much great music as we possibly could. Chad, just like you said, Maurice wasn’t mentioned as much as he deserved.
