    I grew up in HB and got to know David because had a neighbor of my girlfriend in Anahiem cut that mullet into his hair lol (it was the 1980's)...that and he had the same Datsun station wagon my mom and I had when I was a little kid - he drove that forever and I looked for it often just to wave hello. He was such a nice guy and a great surfer even though we never got to surf together I often watched footage of him wherever possible.
    Funny to this day I would still buy that Datsun in a heartbeat.

    I had one of David’s fishes in 1974. One of my favorite boards!!!

      Steve Brom was the head shaper at Dyno and shaped the fish. I purchased my Clyde Beatty Rocket Fish at Clyde's shop in Westminster in the 70s, great board.

    Bought one of his boards in the 70’s ; for an east coast surfer it was a bear to master (narrow rails , a gun really), but that board forced me to go big ! Thanks

    So good to see David doing good, we're the same age and I do know him, he was such a joy to watch Surf. And you Mr PT, I have some old pictures from the 70's of you on the North side of Huntington pire and it was so big you were the only one out, you got so many barrels, what a Show you put on, I'll never forget that. The Fiesta Flash.

    Cool vid Peter! First time i heard of David Nuhiiwa my bro bought a old 2+1 Nuhiiwa board w bird logo back in 82? 5'9 rp with a pointy nose n wide round tail. Board had Magic. Sadly, it got water logged n bro sold it. The guy my bro bought it from is prob 80 now! Guy was ripping on it! Saw him doin helicopters!😂👍😸
