Nice cameo appearance by Jenny, and this was from their first film- "And Now for something completely Different"(1971)just some of their funnier sketches put together with Terry Gilliam's animation
I remember Michael Palin talking about the fish slapping dance sketch on a talk show when he was a guest and about the lock being full at rehearsals but rather more empty when they filmed it as stated earlier and he wasn't expecting that height, also he said in rehearsals John Cleese only had a small fish but on filming he brought out this large fish and Palin was hit so hard he was concussed and almost knocked out only the shock of hitting the water kept him conscious.
When they rehearsed the Fish Slapping, the lock was full. As you can see, when they came to film, the lock had been emptied. Palin's fall was somewhat further than anticipated.
The CBC (at least in Montreal, where I grew up) used to air the Monty Python's Flying Circus at 11:30 pm after the local news in the 1970s... For my mum, sister and I, a great way to end the day... Whatever challenges we might have faced at that time, Monty Python always reminded us of the essential ridiculousness of human behaviour when confronted with, well, any Monty Python scenario!
--Fish Slapping Dance was filmed at Teddington Lock in London; still in operation. --Parrot Sketch is performed calmer in this version. It's even funnier when Cleese goes over-the-top in live performances --A studio version of Lumberjack Song came out in 1975 (with Spam Song as the 45rpm b-side). It was produced by George "Onothimagine" Harrison at his home studio.
I answered the door to jehovah witnesses wearing my shirt that said "I cut down tree, I wear high heels suspender & a bra" it was the shortest conversation I've ever had with them
I'm so glad that turned out to be your daughter at the end, or I might have mistaken 7:50 for another one of those "unexpected ghost caught on camera" videos.
The Spam sketch is worth checking out too, I would recommend Mr Hilter if you could find it but would probably be taken down, a shame too cause it's a really good one.
regarded as the finest bit of Python, the Fish Slapping Dance is simply the funniest sketch I think I've ever seen...because it's so pointless!! There's totally no meaning to it lol. We Brits of ''a certain age' know the script of the Dead Parrot sketch by heart!
The Fish-Slapping dance is one of my favourite sketches. 10 seconds of utter silliness. You have to watch another very short, but very sill sketch by Monty Python: William Tell.
I looked away for a few seconds at 7:48 and when I looked back it such a jolt seeing another face there. I think my heart skipped a jump. XD Other than that it was a really fun video, coming up with lyrics on the spot like that is impressive and you have nice singing voices, especially your daughter.
"Crash and Burn" as a double act name, reminds me of a great comedy sketch called (I think) FISH AND CHIP (and / or PIN AND CUSHION) by Mitchell and webb. CHIP wants to leave FISH to create a new act with PIN, so they'll be CHIP AND PIN ... I don't want to give away the ending ...
Now SEE!! If old King George had'en have fallen off the tall ladder and caused all that ruckus a'way back then and the US had remained with England, we'd all wined up like them Canadians!! Think about it! All of North America turnin in to that singing Canadian and walkin around slapping each other with fish in their spare time!! Holy Hanna!!!
Bluh Blah Blah Blah Bluh Blah! Brilliant from beginning to end! Others have suggested more MP bits to do. To that list I would add "Eric the Half-a-Bee" and "Dennis Moore."
You guys would love the "Not The Nine O'clock News" sketches. The comedy crew was Rowan Atkinson, Pamela Stephenson, Mel Smith, and Griff Rhys Jones and did some great stuff. The "Constable Savage" sketch would be a good start - ruclips.net/video/y5dy9URkLFI/видео.html
Your daughter stole the show! Another great video guys, thanks!
The lumberjack’s best girly is played by Connie Booth, who was married to John Cleese at the time.
She co-wrote and starred in Fawlty Towers with him. She's American.
I never knew that. 👍
It’s the fact that it’s a Norwegian blue as if they have parrots in Norway .
Best couple on the tube .
Much love from the UK .😁🇬🇧❤️🇨🇦
Nice cameo appearance by Jenny, and this was from their first film- "And Now for something completely Different"(1971)just some of their funnier sketches put together with Terry Gilliam's animation
You three should just so your own show, I'm actually crying that Corona song just brilliant.

The scentence "And now for something completly different" is being added to the dutch dictionary, no joke

I have a funny non-live version of the parrot sketch on my desktop, but for some reason I can't find it anywhere online... Strange thing.
There are some audio recordings out there of JC going over-the-top on RUclips, I think. Spam, spam, spam, spam :)
Jeez, your daughter appeared like a ninja!
Ikr she’s definitely got their sense of humour
I answered the door to jehovah witnesses wearing my shirt that said

Love your editing
Also Jenny is a legend for that 🥷
I thought this was a new video. YT sucks. Glad to have re-watched it for the first repeat.
You got your daughter on reactions, mad as you pair
I love the fact that you are all bonkers 🤣
Love the lumberjack song. The cat I named Polly.
I'm so glad that turned out to be your daughter at the end, or I might have mistaken 7:50 for another one of those "unexpected ghost caught on camera" videos.
Respect to the Fred Tomlinson Singers, who appeared on this song, the Spam sketch, & more, including The Two Ronnies.
The Spam sketch is worth checking out too, I would recommend Mr Hilter if you could find it but would probably be taken down, a shame too cause it's a really good one.
Love the Spam sketch.
You may want to see the alternative ending monty python did to the dead parrot in the secret policeman's ball, alot of people haven't seen it
Cycled past Teddington Lock on the Thames the other day and had a smile thinking about the fish slapping sketch.
Your pad always looks nice, cosy and warm. Just the place to retreat to in the depths of a Canadian winter.
One of my other favorites is The Spanish Inquisition
I'm not expecting them to do it.
@@quarkwrok no one expects it
No one expects the spanish inquisition.
The Rona song was great! 🤣👏🤘🙂👍
Takes me back to PBS and the mid 70's when I was a young kid! I literally grew up on this on a black and white with rabbit ears!
Nice cameo of your daughter, specialy when she was behind you and ✌ us at 7.53 ...lol..
I am so happy to watch the Lumberjack Song with Canadians :) Last I heard from you guys was Deep South with the awesome Diefenbaker xx
Did you know the melody came from classical music? 😅. Mozart's opera Don Giovanni

Another two great Monty Python classic sketches are 'The Cheese Shop' and 'Fish Licence'.
The "cheese shop" sketch is brilliant!
Johann Gambolputty
Spam!
Chicago Joe here...I like the new names.😜🤪😝
Now I know why my father wouldn't let me watch Monty Python all those years ago .
Your Daughter very funny!
The Fish-Slapping dance is one of my favourite sketches. 10 seconds of utter silliness.
You have to watch another very short, but very sill sketch by Monty Python: William Tell.
The end of the Lumberjack song is indicative of the sentiment towards the tranz community today
The Fish Slapping Dance was Palin's favorite sketch.
"Slaps Brad with a wet Tuna" lol
this is what happens when you pass the joint around with patient zero

great to the Extra in the middle ✌️✌️
Greetings from Italy and y'all so funny. Keep the videos coming. 🇮🇹🇨🇦. Brad and Lucy for president.
If Brad slapped his big, erm, fish over Lucy, then the channel would be binned by RUclips.
Oh my cod
Always great to see people enjoying life,
from Australia
At least we know now what lumberjacks do in their spare time!
Norwegian Blue. Nobody seems bothered that there are no parrots in Norway.
You two are so like my missus and me it's scary 👍

Fella, you have a great collection of pint pots.
Fair play.
The Fish Slapping looked great..
Now this is what i'm talkin bout! lol
Monty Python wasn't always trying to be ha-ha funny; many if the scenes/sketches are pieces of performance art. I enjoy it on that level.
Digging the Sarah McL reference.
Btw your kid is awesome! Mine would do the same shit! Lol!
Was that you daugther in the background ? xD
Yes
My 3 fav scotches
I think it was Michael Palin's 'Full Circle' when the Canadians got their own back.
Liking this for the family banter and noises off.
Well barked that dog!
"Wot's all this then?"
For something related to them you shou!d watch John Cleese give his eulogy for Graham Chapman . trust me .
I never wanted to be a RUclips channel viewer, I wanted to be a lumberjack!
Crash and Auburn
Brad…..what make is that cool skull beer glass you have? And where could I get one like it?
It is a Luminarc Glass Pirate Skull 32 oz Beer Mug. I believe they have been discontinued, but you might be able to find a used one online.
connie booth is the girl in lumberjack song, she was married to john cleese at one time and stared with him in faulty towers
By then they had divorced
Mmmmmmm beer. No spillages pleases far to precious
The new buddy cop show, starring Brad Crash, and Lucy Burn. Kept in check by their Lieutenant, Jenny Chaos.
Too funny, this will never age
Here is a quick one for you - under 2 minutes. Please do a reaction to their song I Bet You They Won't Play This Song On The Radio.
You've found a Classic love this X
Still think you need to check out " That was one of Oscars " !!!!!
This clip is from the movie. Those same sketches from the TV show are way funnier

I’m curious - who painted the artwork behind you?
It's a Leo Jansen

Try to find them doing this in GERMAN. They did that
Lol daughter creeping hard
I finally understand (from the Lumberjack sketch) what the trans community are facing
F’kin brilliant 😅love it keep it up 👍🏻
I think the lumberjack song is problematic, it reaffirms a stereotype, but in reality only 70 % of lumberjacks, so ive heard, are trasnsvestites
classic Python!
I've actually from Bolton (Notlob backwards).

This is one for the live stream 😄
the rona song could be it's own video!
The 2nd and 3rd are from a movie, the original TV versions are way better.
