The more I listen to these old rappers who all of a sudden reappear into the spotlight with this new wave rap style, I often wonder if this new wave style was created by the old rappers then taught to the young, just check out 'MC Eiht and Lady of Rage' most recent joint- 'Heart Cold' feat. DJ Premier. I don't think Ren is trying to be like the youngsters, I think he just letting everyone know that the old rappers have been contributing to rap style and delivery even though they weren't relevant to the public for 20 years. To me Ren sounds better than these youngsters which led me to my conclusions.
