Hi Crane! Merry Christmas to you & Jason even Feen although he won't come to you. I especially loved this video because when my husband was alive he always said he wanted For get me nots on his grave. He absolutely loved gardening and was very knowledgeable. I wasn't but since he passed away (2023) I'm more interested in learning what I can and was excited to hear about the history and meaning! Thank you so much. Oh i love your tree and especially the village, so pretty!
I am so sorry about your loss. 🙏🏻❤️ Your husband just inspired me to create a video about forget me not. Thank you for sharing the story. Merry Christmas ❤️🙏🏻🎄
Hello Crane and merry Christmas from Hamburg/Germany! I think you should grow all the flowers you long for. There is only this one lifetime to do that 😊 Don't restrict yourself and rob yourself of new wonderful flower experiences 😊 Your Channel is wonderful and I always enjoy watching. I will transplant some forget-me-nots later as well :)) Warm regards from Hamburg! Tina
Hi Crane, sorry you’ve been unwell last week. Hope you feel better soon. How nice to see Feen in his winter house. He’s a lucky pussy cat. I think you’ll regret not adding more garden beds especially when it’s flowering season. You can always clean up in spring x
Wishing you health and happiness during the Holiday season. Thank you for the information on Forget me nots, I would love to add some to my garden for next season. Merry Christmas to you and your family!
Hi Crane! Oh my goodness I love forget me nots. I have them in the garden as well as in my pond where they do tend to go a little nuts but as you said very easy to remove. I’m sorry you’ve been sick. I’ve been sick twice already this fall thanks to my kiddo and the germ factory aka school. 😂😫. Hope you feel better soon. Love all the Christmas decorations! You and Jason did a great job. As for the commitment you made to yourself. I know I’m going to have the unpopular opinion so take it with a grain of salt. One very important thing I learned in having a business for 23 years is that you have to stick to your plan to reach your goals. You also need to have those accomplishments that make you feel less stressed. We live in a society that loves immediate gratification and that is fine for some things but not for growing a profitable low stress business or achieving goals. That said, plans can change-as long as it supports your goals- and it is never too late to add a bed in spring and order roses then. I ordered some roses to try them out last spring, grew them in large pots, fed and watered them well and I had flush after flush of beautiful blooms. Then when I got my beds prepared this fall, I planted them in the ground. If I had planted them in the ground when I got them it would have been half-assed and I would have had to dig them up again when I finally sat down to make an efficient and well thought out plan. I say this because I adore you Crane and I want to see you succeed and be happy. I wish I had had someone to tell ME this when I was younger and struggling to figure things out. In the end, do what is best for you. ❤
Look over your garden and take out any shrubs or old plants that you won't mind giving away to another gardener. Then you'll have room for some new roses.
Yes make a special bed just for roses and clematis with some trellises. That way you can have shrub and climbing roses. Plant in full sun with good air circulation. Maybe in your front yard near the parking area? Love David Austin roses!!
THE THOUGHT THAT CAME TO ME, AS YOU WERE SPEAKING, DO YOU WANT TO BE MORE OF A FLORIST OR DO YOU WANT TO CREATE YOUR OWN DESIGNS, ELIMANTING SOME OF THE BASE YOU DON'T USE AND GET NEW ONES, AND MAYBE DO MORE CONTAINER GARDING. THE FIRST THING IS HOW MUCH TIME, DO YOU HAVE TO DEVOTE TO BECOMING A FLORIST, OR BE SOMEONE THAT TAKES THEIR TIME IN CREATING SOMETHING BEAUTIFUL WITH WHAT YOU HAVE .
Hi Crane. I love your videos. You guys are always so busy with your garden, but you guys still have time to have some fun. Good for you guys. Just curious, what is your other job? So busy....
Hi Crane, Feel better soon. DA roses are so pretty. You should try Bloomables in Lowe’s as well. It has good cut flower roses as well. You have the option to grow it in containers until you figure out a suitable spot in your garden. Take care
Crane I hope you didn't get out in the garden to soon after you were sick. Please take care and feel better. If you buy the roses it will be because that is where your heart leads you. Thinks about what you want to put in your flower arrangements the most. Love the Christmas decorations. Jason and you have decorated the place so beautifully. Merry Christmas to you all.
Crane, I hope you feel better soon! I also got sick with Covid last week and I’m still not over it! Try and take it easy as much as you can. I love your Christmas tree it looks so beautiful! P.S. get the roses!!! ❤️☀️🎉
I know what you mean! I was in Madison once in December for my friend’s graduation. I got sick after the trip. Hoping you stay warm and cozy inside. 🥰❤️❤️❤️
If you regret later NOT getting the roses, it’s too bad 😕 If you regret getting the roses then you have beautiful flowers. But thinking about it, who would regret getting roses! GET THE ROSES !!! 😅🎄🌹🌹🌹😊
Hope you are feeling even better! I love real Christmas trees too. Some others suggested growing roses in containers, which may be your compromise? I'm not a good one to advise on this because I get excessive and need more discipline. 😂
Yeah for new video! Love all the Xmas decorations, especially outside in front. It is just so charming! Do you have a place for new garden beds?? If so, order the roses! Sorry you’ve been sick.
Why don't you get the rose trees? I have six David Austin Rose Trees and they are awesome because they do not take too much real estate leaving you plenty of room to plant something else:-)))
Hi Crane, Feel better soon! Are forget-me-nots invasive? I read that some are so I only planted a few last summer in a pot so I could stop it from reseeding.
I have forget me nots too. They definitely spread but I don’t mind as they are so very beautiful. I wouldn’t call them invasive as they are very easy to remove like Crane said. However, mine definitely go crazy in my pond more than on dry land.

Hi Crane, Thank you for sharing. Great ideas, I really appreciate it. God Bless you and your family this holiday season!!
Some DA roses are good growing in pots. Yes, go get some roses!
All of your decorations look great and very festive! Merry Christmas!
If you add twinkle lights to the inside only it will also give you additional dimension. Looks fabulous! Merry Christmas to you and your 🌼🐝
Wishing you health and happiness during the Holiday season. Thank you for the information on Forget me nots, I would love to add some to my garden for next season. Merry Christmas to you and your family!
ABSOLUTELY order those roses! Expand some or your beds out so that the paths get a little narrower. It will be less grass to mow!
I vote you get more David Austin roses. If I was living in Zone 7, I would have an entire bed devoted to these roses.
Order the roses!
🥰🥰🥰

I always wonder what other flower farmers are doing as work aside from this gig?❤

Hi Crane,
Feel better soon! Are forget-me-nots invasive? I read that some are so I only planted a few last summer in a pot so I could stop it from reseeding.
They spread a lot but not difficult to control. The other weeds I have are a lot stronger
@ Thanks for your info!
I have forget me nots too. They definitely spread but I don’t mind as they are so very beautiful. I wouldn’t call them invasive as they are very easy to remove like Crane said. However, mine definitely go crazy in my pond more than on dry land.
I think you should treat yourself. You deserve new roses even if you don't clean up your current beds.
Thank you very much 🙏🏻🥰❤️
Only 3 of your must have roses. There is always room for3
Thank you 🥰 yes there are three in my cart.
💕🌸❤
Feel Better Crane!❤
Thank you very much 🙏🏻🥰❤️
