I guess in these test close up charts the sony might be but once at distance the zoom fall away and can not hold to primes ,i own both and never is the sony sharper in real world although it is very good ,but not prime quality ,also the prime gets even more advantage in difficult situations with light and atmospherics ,the zoom really needs every thing right with conditions but this why you pay 2x more for the sigma sharper lighter and superior ,caveat is sonys limatitions
As said in the video my Sony 200-600 is a very good copy. And maybe the Sigma 500mm is not. But the both are both on a high level and the difference is more height and compactness.

You cannot do comparison test at close range with tele lenses !!!
So are you saying the Sony is sharper as this isn’t what others are saying?

I had the opposite result shooting with wildlife .
500 5.6 is much sharper with fine details and far away subjects
