Whispering Jack really gave that jingle wings. Neal at Hitbound records in Elsternwick was constantly saying that Farnham had the best voice in the Country in 1980. The restructuring of his image in 1986 for The Voice was long overdue.
I used to live in the Bendigo TV viewing area and I still scarily enough remember those Bendigo ad jingles: Sandhurst Town, Proud's Audio World, Ron Poyser Holden, Harrington and North Tyres, Domenic's hairdressing, Bendigo Mower Service, Channel 8, Centre State Radio 3BO, Wavell Dawson Car Sales, Marong Village (now Lansell Plaza) the list goes on!
thanks for posting! Bendigo IS the home of music. You need to hear the many ad jingles on 3BO, Star FM and the local tv networks to prove this. The voice of the actual ad reminds me of a cross between Wierd Al Yankovic and Ren Hoek (Ren & Stimpy).
if it's in Bendigo, local businesses wouldn't mind at all, I'm sure Sandhurst Machinery would have a boost in their business after this aired on the late show, it's (1) free advertising and (2) it was on the ABC (screened everywhere in Australia, and no commercials) it's adspace money just cannot buy! Lots of Bendigo adds have jingles such as this one, just go there turn on 3BO or Star FM or watch Prime, WIN & SC10 and you'll know why!
