Rare Solar Eclipse - Time Lapse - Full Totality - 4.08.2024

Trying to figure out where to be for the Solar Eclipse on April 8, 2024 was a real challenge. The weather reports were all over he place but the common theme in New York State was clouds in the afternoon, and boy did they roll in. Fortunately I was able to get to my family summer camp in Sandy Pond NY, and that turned out to be a good decision. The beaches there (public and private) look due west out over great Lake Ontario. Patches of blue receded and clouds moved in, but the lake provided some help to keep the pesky vapors at bay.
The clouds added a dimension to the video that is very unique, so in retrospect I am glad they were there. I hope you folks got to see some of the eclipse action, if you didn't, plan to travel for the next one, totally worth it. I thought the totality part would be cool but I kind of poo poo'd it before hand, boy was I wrong. It was spectacular in person! Have a great day, sit back and enjoy! -RHJ3
