- Each Sunday night at 8:30 EST, we go live on my Facebook page, Natalie Raynes Music, and play requests from viewers. These live sessions are fun, because I have no idea what will be requested! My husband Josh reads the requests aloud, and then I play whatever arrangement pops into my head! 🎶💛🎹 See more information about web courses, upcoming sheet music, and live one-on-one video lessons at my website, www.natalieraynesmusic.com.
There’s NOTHING like church hymns ... oh the memories that flood my soul. I truly mourn the loss of their existence in the church today 😔 I know every single hymn she played! Thank you
I've left 3 churches because of their switch away from traditional hymns. I'm glad that I can still find a few churches that value the great hymns.
I agree, there is absolutely NOTHING that moves the spirit in my soul, like these "old-fashioned" hymns and good "old-fashioned" preaching!! What many may view as "old-fashioned" is still current, true, and relative!
My favorite kind of piano playing, hymns with some life in them.
Try Walk In The Light Of the Lord Hymn (Boogie Piano Style), Amazing Graze, How Great Tho Art, Just A Closer Walk With Thee by Terry Miles here on RUclips. You'd enjoyed that too.
The old hymns were such a blessing to me that I found myself exclaiming out loud, "Lord, bless this lady!" - twice!
Try Terry Miles "Walk In The Light Of the Lord Hymn (Boogie Piano Style)", "How great Tho Art", "Amazing Grace" and others on his channel on RUclips.
Love it, love it, love it. I’m 70+ years in Canada and tears are in my eyes. This has awakened my spirit after years of few of these wonderful hymns that you make so alive. Thank you with all my heart. Bye, bye to those little ditties they substituted for this spiritual ministry.😘👍🏻
So blessed to hear these wonderful hymns. Blesses my heart.. ❤
Wonderful and uplifting. So many churches now a days omit this type of music that truly ministers.
It probably makes a difference on the age of a person. I really enjoy old hymns, because they are less repetitive; the words are not repeated as much. But, if it blesses a young person, it is okay with me. And the history of those old hymns is very interesting.
All Because of God’s Amazing Grace
My cousin wrote that
loving this ministry.👍
Natalie this is Fran Dr Charles Garrett's daughter. I can't explain the comfort your music brought to me while I sat for days at the hospital with Daddy. Since his promotion to heaven I have played your videos over and over. What a blessing your God given talent is. When we were younger and spent time in different churches with your precious Dad I loved listening to him play. May God continue to bless others with your talent as you share it. Love and blessings to you and your family.
Oh what a sweet way to start this day!! Thank you!!
When all of God's singers get home
Will there be any stars in my crown
Nearer my God to thee
Madam I could listen to you all Sunday afternoon after a nice lamb roast for dinner now you make sure you are blessed by God absolutely excellent well done young lady well done Jeff Melbourne Australia
My never ending quest for just "normal" piano playing the hymns....love this, I just want to listen endlessly 🤣🤣🤣🤣
My mother used to play hymns on our piano several times a week. It wasn't as "fancy" as this music but included several of the hymns that I heard here.
I really really appreciate your piano playing. Thank you for sharing. I miss this good music in churches today.
Thank you Natalie for letting us listen to your beautiful music. Very inspiring to an 82 year old shut-in. My mom used to play like this. You are a blessing, so glad I found you on Utube. Thank you 💕
So wonderful to hear the old hymns. I really miss them. You are a blessing.
in these evil "last days" your playing these old hymns I cut my spiritual teeth on over 79 years ago has blessed me beyond my ability to find the words - just keep playing my dear and many of us will keep on keepin' on until Jesus Comes for us in the rapture which is very soon !
what a wonderful talent and joy to hear these lovely hymns!!
We had church at home today and stumbled upon your channel, what a blessing! If you could play, “I’ll never forget that day”. My husband sang that song coming out of the cow pasture the day he was saved IN THE COW PASTURE!
My son is marrying a good Christian girl in June and she is moving here from 4.5 hours away to live and is hoping to give piano lessons in our area, she's been playing for 25 years what a blessing she will be to our family and church family.I pray God will bless them.
Thank you for playing these beautiful hymns. Please never give up this wonderful music.
4 years ago this was recorded. I still love the piano and hymns. I miss singing hymns at church so badly. Modern writers composers don't seem able to know or be led to write them.
@ Natalie, today is the first time I saw your video. I sure enjoy this type fine gospel music. I'm sure I'll listen again.
Thanks so much for your heart felt Love to our Lord and Master, Jesus is his name Faithful and True!
What a gifted and talented pianist! You play not only "spunk" but you totally understand the necessity to put the text of these hymns to music. For truly, music can speak where the spoken word can not reach. Keep this up! The world needs more of this!!
mlss hearing the old hymns in church. and love the style she plays. Its not boring.. Thank you, it is a blessing
Your playing is a breath of fresh air. Thank you.
Blessings.. if we don’t do something./soon these beautiful hymns will become obsolete..please keep them alive..next time time play Sitting at the feet of Jesus..I play an arrangement for it..that can also share with you.

Love your piano playing. I can tell it comes from the heart.
🎹 " Thanks, Natalie Raynes and your husband Josh for sharing this beautiful music with your viewers. I appreciate your kindness and generosity of playing this music for me to hear it. God bless y'all in Him ! " 🎹
So way beyond generous Natalie is, is my humble opinion. Availing valuable time to giving FREE lessons online live to hundreds and thousands across this planet. You go girl. The more you give , the more you are blessed as you bless so many of us unknown strangers to you 😊...but one big family of Believers in our Lord Jesus Christ. Blessed be God, the Holy Trinity🙏
My soul needed this . Thank You. So much strife in the nation your music is soothing to the soul. Your head must be full of the most beautiful pictures of faith. You're a master of the keyboard , must have been touched by the lord with the way you play. There's just so much more I can say, maybe I'll save it for another day. GOD BLESS YOU Natalie. I have a dear friend I know would love to sit with you as you play these MOST Beautiful HYMMS for him. He could sure use you gift. His name is Donald. Please Pray for him.
AMEN and AMEN! MY. WIFE and I are blessed and so are many others.
I absolutely enjoyed your playing the piano and watching you really enjoy serving God with this great talent. Keep on serving God this way. The music is so reassuring to me as I have legal blindness and can see to do things the way I use too. I can hear so much and this is awesome. Thank you again!!!
I have totally enjoyed listening to an hour of the hymns that she entertained me with tonight.
Love it! Thank you for sharing your talent to God's glory (and our enjoyment!).
Wow, what a piano player, great job
The house is empty since my wife went to be with the Lord. Your music is a great blessing to fill the house with sound.
Beautiful Anointing. Although I haven’t heard these songs for for some time, While listening to your playing I am reminded of the words and make’s me feel God’s presence. Such a Blessing you are.
These grand old gospel songs are seldom heard in our churches today. Thanks!
I just found this. I love the old hymns. I learned many of them watching old programs of Hilton Griswald on WVCY in Wisconsin. Thank you
Natalie- I surely have received a blessing and great ministry from these collections of "Sunday Hymns". I realize that you have been providing additional music during the Coved 19 crisis, but I hope you will consider continuing this ministry. You may not have time to do as much, after we all get back to "normal", but I know I will still be looking for great church music and tuning in regularly, and I think others will too. God Bless You, and Thank you..-Scott
This is just so beautiful, u are very gifted indeed, i never listen to gospel music because its business as usual and lacks emotion but here im liking every moment, this is your God chosen gift, carry on sister with respect from Botswana
This is the way every pianist played when I was growing up in an Assemblies of God church. Song service was joyful. The piano player would peel out on the introduction and the leader would say "everybody sing!" and we would sing! Sadly, there's not anything like it today.
Feel so blessed to have come across Natalie Raynes Music in the past week. Listening from Brisbane, Australia.Thankyou Natalie.
Took me back half a century ago, growing up in a Nazarene parsonage, listening to my mother playing. I sang along, in my mind, to everyone of these gracious hymns.
Thank you so much for keeping the spirit of these old standards alive.
david Hanesworth .I grew up in a Nazarene parsonage. This is how I play the piano as well.
The church we go to now does not sing hymns, however we were use to that. I'm 83 now and would love to hear Wonderful Grace of Jesus one more time before He takes me home.
God has given you a wonderful gift I wished I had to play the piano.
I like your piano playing style.
You are very gifted pianist God bless you
Great piano talent Natalie.. it inspires me. YES WHEN THE ROLL IS CALLED UP YONDER! Great song. Awesome I love "Sanctuary".
This is what i would love to hear at my church but we don't have a pianist any more! Pray that God will help me learn piano well enough to become our pianist.
I am impressed that you have all of those great numbers in your memory...so much better than struggling with the printed page. More free-style interpretations, which is the proper way to do it!
Oh what a blessing and encouragement to a fellow church pianists! Please keep it coming!! Your love and heart for music is so uplifting and refreshing!!! Thank you so much!! God Bless!!!!!❤️
Thank you. I could listen to you for hours!!!
What a joy to hear some of the old hymns played on a real piano. Thank you for sharing this great joy.
What a blessing to hear these good old songs. And you play so well! Thank you!
Beautiful..... I love the way you improv and add your touch... my grandmother would pull another piano right up alongside of you and play right along!! I miss playing together with her... we often went to the chapel and played side by side on the piano and organ and swap!
Beautiful playing! It's sooooo nice to hear the old hymns in their original fashion! God bless you!
I thoroughly enjoyed your piano playing! Was a blessing hearing all the old songs!
It is well with my soul was song at my wife of 51 years I cared for 5 years with dementia 9 mo didn’t speak or move I loved her dearly
Thank you for sharing your God given talent, it has been a huge blessing to our family especially on Sunday mornings when our church was shut down during the Covid outbreak.

This is so amazing. Such talent! Thank You!
My dad (who is also a fabulous pianist) introduced me to you a few weeks ago. I absolutely love this, but I'm late to the party, so I'm going back and watching all of the videos! You are so talented, and I love hearing so many songs I grew up with as well as your versatility! You bring joy during these trying times!
I have just learnt about Natalie Raynes music few wks ago too, and now don't want to miss any RUclips's that I am searching the first RUclips's and work through them chronologically to see, enjoy, learn and feel the blessings 🙏
I have now watched them all and am rewatching them! 😊
@@joesgirl80 it's kind of contagious and infectious like the pandemic, isn't it :)

Just subscribed, you are awesome.
Just discovered your channel! So nice to see a Christian pianist.😊💛
..a Christian Pianist who is beautiful in everyway , setting a role model to many of us, I think.
hello from the Ozarks!! excellent!!Grace be with you!
Beautiful. I used to sing the last song you played with Larry & Norma Jean. We had lots of good times gathering around the piano and singing.
🎶🎵🕊🙏🕊🎵🎶 very beautiful and inspiring how you play 🕊🙏🕊🎶🙏🎶
Standing on the promises, What a friend we have in Jesus, Rhapsody in Blue, we enjoy music it fills my soul.
I would LOVE to hear "Jesus is Coming Soon" it is one of my favorite hymns. I wish I could watch you live on Sundays but I live in central time, and we don't get out of service till about 8:30 Central Time
I've been listening to Natalie regularly, since Episode 3, so thought I wrap up this crazy year by starting over and listen to every episode again (some several times)!
I am mesmerized by your style! I’m hooked and the benefactor of an amazingly talented young lady. I’ve watched you on “Hymn Singing”. You are a blessing,,,
Thank you!
All we need now is a preacher to give the sermon and we are set
These hymns have a message in themselves.
The beautiful and anointed music , I think is already " preaching " to many hearts and souls, including mine:)
I finally found episode 1, thank you for beginning this blessed program.
I only came across your playing a couple of weeks ago and have spent hours listening to you since. Absolutely brilliant. I am a salvationist and love a good sing.
This is my first time seeing your videos. I have thoroughly enjoyed it. I love seeing your technique with full chords in the right hand with fill-ins. Not very many piano teachers teach that way as well as using your ear, chord progressions, etc. Thank you for sharing!
I wish more methods books would "teach" the fuller right-hand approach, especially in the intermediate books and/or for "adult learners." I know, perhaps, this "fuller" version might come with learning/practice, but we as adults might not have as long to learn as younger students of piano. ha
You are unbelievably talented!! How long did it take you to get so good? I feel like I've been in a good church service after listening to you play. I'm so thankful I found you.
What do mean by “played by ear”? That means different things to different people. Do you mean chording?
@@kathycorum3790 I am now catching up from No 1 and just saw your question. I always thought that "playing by ear" defines someone who cannot or does not read music. Some people are talented and can play "by ear" exactly as it sounds. In my father's case, he would make up his own harmony and this was sometimes better than the original. He coped well with older hymns but with the modern hymn songs he found that more difficult.
What a glorious wonder you are. What a tremendous gift. God Bless you!!
Unto Thee, O Lord!!!
You are amazing! Came across your channel and have shared it with a couple of friends. Thanks so much!
What a joyous blessings! I was on RUclips and just "stumbled" upon your channel! Wowzer! Natalie! If there ever was a daughter of "Jubal" - you are a Jubal daughter of the First Order! What a blessings you and your giftings are! I'll look forward to more of your music! Blessings!
I just found #34, now I've got to work my way through the previous 33, starting with this one. What a blessing this irreplaceable music is, and what a blessing you are, Natalie, may God richly reward you and Jason and the people who help you with this.
Paul tells us: Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all, especially to those who are of the household of faith. You're doing that in abundance!
Oh you got a new subscriber before the chorus! I love this old time hymn. Reminds me of when I was a kid in the old country church built in the 1800s. Except the piano is in tune!
New sub here. Awesome! God bless you and thanks so much for sharing your talent with all of us! 🙏
Wow, I haven't heard Touring That City in years. I use to play that in Eb for my mother years ago in the Church of God I grew up in. Beautiful playing sis!!
I wish I could play like this, wonderful talent.
..me too, wish I could play like Natalie:)
Love this. Beautiful
Blessings to hear such renditions. To God Be The Glory
Wow. These are REALLY old...and fun! I am 60 and havent heard these hymns.
Thanks for welcoming us into your home for a time of worship. Very nice.
God bless dear lady thanks this came at a perfect time put a smile on my face (Doug in Ga) 🐱
I must tell Jesus. Beautiful.
Such a blessing to hear fellow musicians sharing their talents. This reminds me when I played for a church that on Sunday night they would have about 15 minutes of hymn picking and singing. The youth even enjoyed it so much they would always try to pick something that I couldn’t play from the hymnal. Needless to say they weren’t able to! Loved the challenge! I grew up on the piano bench every Sunday with my mom. I would tell the youth that I played for for Abraham. Again, thank you for sharing. I’ve subscribed!
The peace I would have to be able to play piano like that
You have just brought me a lot of memories of my mom doing the same type of thing (usually with hymns and choruses, but sometimes with other genres as well). She called it rambling, and she had a style very like yours. Thank you for the memories, and for the lovely hymns. HUGS!
Hehe. I can listen to this all day long and probably will. 😊
Like your swing bass.Wish i were listening to my daughter.your dad is blessed.
Whow!!! Thx for the beautiful music loved it ❤️❤️❤️
