One doubt is there mam... In langman embrology, it is mentioned that superior mesentric veins is derived from Right vitelline vein.. Page no. - 210, 13th edition Kindly pls confirm it.

If we imagine foetus lying as horizontally also Cardinal veins should be labelled as superior and inferior no? Why they are labelled anterior and posterior ? Is it misnomer??? Pls explain that part

Regression happens near the heart
