That is easily one of my favorite Hiroshi Yoshida prints, and particularly your early (more nuanced) print. It really is beautiful, portraying his amazing artistry, and love of the mountains. I can easily see how it would have a great visual appeal to art collectors who might not normally consider Japanese woodblock prints. I don't follow Sosaku Hanga very much, but beyond being bold and striking, Sekino really did apply techniques and materials to enhance this print even more, to great affect. Thanks for the exposure.

I love Yoshida's Spinx print, incredible color in that first version. The other print of a trees in the woods was excellent and I've never seen it before, thanks for presenting that.

A wonderful day. Woodblock Wednesday. Even better than Taco Tuesday, in my humble opinion. Hiroshi Yoshida just seems to have a different approach to his art as his work is so easily recognizable and has a uniqueness not seen in other artists...except maybe his son Toshi.
