In this Video I'll show you How Too Make A Large diy Storage Ottoman box In White faux Leather Which is ideal for the bedroom living room or conservatory, The Ottoman Is a simple build with minimal tools and is a simple diy ottoman project. I will have a PDF plan of this build on my website in the near future.
I used 18 mm chip or particle board for the structure of the ottoman but you could use ply but would make the ottoman very heavy.
I upholstered the ottoman in White Faux Leather to give it an uncomplicated look. And used spring loaded hinges to keep the lid up when open. I'll leave a link below where you can get the hinges from.

- My frame is cut. Really glad that I watched your video before starting my ottoman. Instructions & techniques are very clear, concise, neat & looks professional. Thanx 4 sharing. Do you ever use the metal tack strips ??? If not, it would be helpful to know why or why not, thanx.
Hi thank for the comment. I do use metal tack strips but only where I need too. As in the backs of seats sofas and where I can't use the card back tack strip. Hopefully that sheds some light. Thanks again Anth
@@AnthWood . . . thanx 4 the response.

starting my ottoman build in a couple of hours. Im using this video as my blueprint. It seems as though the difficult part about it is the upholstery. Hopefully everything goes well
Just measure twice cut once and take your time and everything will work out. Hope the ottoman turns out well.
@@AnthWood a question about the fabric. Does it have to be one long piece that goes around the entirety of the ottoman? or am i able to cut a piece for each side of it, and then sew them together. Also how would i measure the fabric for tyhe lid if i wasnt going to use any roping?
@@kingjayjay98 Hello Yes you can do it in one piece or four separate sides I think I'd done it in one piece. But have made one with four sides sewn together.
@@AnthWood thanks. and what about the vcover without roping. How would i measure/sew the fabric in that case
@@kingjayjay98 Hello you can do the top with out piping the same way, or fold the fabric at each corner to create a sharp corner.
Did your ever make the pdf?
Sorry for the late reply. I haven't yet. Have you managed to make one yet?
Nice video

What are those hinges called mate?
They are called concealed cabinet hinges here's a link for some on eBay to give you some idea how much they are. www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2-x-SPRUNG-Cabinet-Hinges-for-Kitchen-Doors-Easy-Mount-Concealed-Fix-/390833794718?_trksid=p2349624.m46890.l49292

Nice work Antony, why 895mm long why not a straight 900mm.
Hi Neil I make the cover 900mm to take into account for the foam padding on the sides and top. You can make the ottoman any size you want just remember to add a little extra to the cover so it slides over easily. Hope that helps
Thanks Antony.
I. Starting in 30 minutes
+Smallusaurus Rex/ Izzaldin A skylanders have you thought about putting intros on your videos. And some crazy kids music.
SHOP MAD um no I haven’t telling me about that maybe I’ll start soon I’m just not sure how to did it but thanks
I’m starting a livestream right now

@@AnthWood lol sorry , heard the millimeter part later ! Im used to inches! 😂
@@mirza6399 haha now that would be a big ottoman.
