@@jorgeandrescoppiano Yea he has a HUGE attitude while getting stuff incorrect. Like how he said noles frame is most similar in mold to the Head i radical lmao.
I wonder if it comes with a grommet set purchase. No idea how it is expected to age but my silicone house tools seem to be the same. Old dampeners too. Maybe silicone holds up really well over time?
This one I only grabbed because of the drill technique and small grommets. The exclusivity was a little icing on a funny cake. 18x16 also isn't my kind of pattern.
Cool vid - I, like you, also got myself a Prince Racquet from Japan just recently ha! I got the 2022 O3 Phantom 100 😁 I have yet to play with it, it came with lead tape put on from previous user at 10/2, and Power Pads in the throat! Strung in Gosen G-Tour 1.25 - A True Japan enthusiasts racquet. I have the strings in still, debating still if I want to cut it out and redo with something else, or for funzies just take it out as is from the previous user power pads and all. Great vids and channel! New subscriber here - Cheers
I would try with the pads while they're in there I guess! That's cool. Japan seems to have a bunch of Prince options not available here and I wonder why their following is so much stronger. No idea, honestly but it's a curious thing.
I use a 2017 beast 100. I love it and developed my game around it to the point where I can't use anything else or I get slayed by my tennis friends. Find it easy to hit consistent deep topspins with it. Have a little more trouble driving through the court, and it has no touch 😂
@@ZeroLoveTennis yeah the feel is good. I really enjoy that there’s a balance of power and feel. It is also parallel drilling if im not mistaken. Launch angle is still higher. At the net it’s as stable as the prince tour 98s (newest).
I think I ports are a whole different idea. They aren't even drilled, necessarily. More like hollowed out haha. And it's offset to be less crooked but from what I see, still kind of is. But still better than some racquets are
Hmm maybe what I used the first time. I think moderate tension and something on the tamer side of power would be good. Like Zero, Wasabi or Ether mains, always wasabi X in crosses although ENSO is cool if you want more power but I wouldn't in this one. Snapper might be a cool string as well, trying today for first time.
I might! I suppose it's either a tw demo or I have to buy one. We'll see. I'm working on another few reviews and videos first. A little backed up until the rest of the year, actually!
It is a shame the new Beast lineup is only available in Japan. It looks great and could have some comfort improving features that could be of interest. The Beast 100 is obviously very similar to the Ezone 100, Pure Drive, Ultra 100 etc. They all have nearly identical specs, beam, stiffness etc. It is to be expected that this Beast 100 will not play anywhere similar to the Pure Aero 98. When reviewing racquets, normally apples are compared with apples and oranges with oranges. Only way to tame a beast like the Beast 100, is to string it tighter but nevertheless , it will never play like a Pure Aero 98 as it was never designed to play like it.
@@ZeroLoveTennis anyway, cool video and amazing that you bought it from Japan. I really wanted to buy this racquet but seems will not be released in Europe at all. You hit really well by the way. You are definitely not the target group for these big and stiff power racquets.
Appreciate that! I think this racquet could be good for someone that also likes the EZONE or especially the EZONE 100, etc. But maybe it still gets less spin and more power than those by just a bit and I prefer the reverse to be more true. Luckily scored one on Amazon at the time! Maybe check that? Amazon japan, though. They shipped to america no extra cost, you might get lucky there as well.
@@ZeroLoveTennis The new Beast 100 sounds like it could suit me quite well. I love the Ezone 100 as it has a controlled string pattern in the sweet spot. Can hit flat with it and topspin is still very good as one can really go for the shots. I have found that the very open string pattern in the 300 gram power frames like Pure Aero, Vcore 100 etc, work great for spin but as they are so powerful, the ball flies long quite easily. The Pure Aero 98, Vcore 98 etc work better as the power is not as high and then one can really hit freely and the ball stays in. Of course, each racquet has a target group and has been designed for a certain type of player. I will check out Amazon. Thanks for the tip :)
You're welcome! Agree, the combination of being a bit more power-tamed as well as easier/more spin generation really help me keep the ball in play but also just have more variations to the shot shape. I always lean in that direction with a racquet preference. Would likely choose the Prince in this video over the EZONE 100, though.
I've tried several Prince racquets including the Prince Beast 100 European exclusive. I've always been fairly disappointed with Prince racquets. I feel the O-port Ripstick and the Twistpower x100 tour are the best recent releases from Prince. Everything else seems kind of meh.
I wonder if I'll try that ripstick. It comes up often when I bring up Prince at all haha. I don't think I'd love it though. Stringing o-port also isn't great. Like on paper it isn't my style.
@returntotennis706 it looks kind of cool and aerodynamic. But a lot of material is removed. I heard not great things about control but who knows. I might test one sometime but I haven't thought much of it.
I have the crapiest luck with 16X19 string patterns and can never figure out why. Loss of control, poor flat balls, so much spin there's never enough penetration of court. Yeah I just automatically steer away. Older hoop design by at least two decades. If it were 16 X 20 I'd be more interested. Sorry Prince no disrespect but not for me.

Kind of similar to this, but I have been re-enjoying my Prince Air DB from like 2007 . Parallel drilling but they have spin grommets.
Oh sounds like big grommets haha.
what is that midsection composed of, is it a gel type substance?
I think a silicone of some kind. It's gel like but pretty firm.
Wouldnt the silicone age and become oxidized and harden? My concern is that when this happens, this silicone part would not be available for purchase.
@@lchristophor3107 I don't think that would be a problem, on the old double bridge model, it was open with no dampener but still reduced vibration!

Random handle question. How much shorter is the handle of the Angell React 99 compared with the PA98?
Hmmm hard to say now that I don't have it but it was a bit shorter. Maybe a full 2cm but at least 1cm. Probably not more than 2.
The first db that Prince made was the Graphtech in 1990/1991 as I recall.
Followed closely by:
- CTS Lightning (Capriati)
- Precision Response (Rafter)
- Precision Response Ti
- Precisin 700 longbodies (circa 1995/1996)
- Response 97 (circa 2015)
You tried the ripstick 300?
I don't think so.
