We have so many metal bands in Europe, we have room for a satirical metal band, and this is it. I have seen them live in 2022, his daughter is also a great singer and has a few pieces in a few songs. So she had her own little elevated space in the back of the stage, and during the concert, except for her brief but amazing vocal performances, she was just sitting there, reading a book.
A big live metal concert and an audience in front of her. Everyone goes nuts. She just sits there, in her own section of the stage, reading a book, to only a few times come to the front to grace us with her angelic voice.
They also did a music video with Till Lindemann from Rammstein. In the video, Till comes and sits down at a table, then does not move or react for 3 minutes, and then leaves.

Knorkator! The 'most' band in the world :D ('Best' was already taken so they had to make do.)
Some of their most notable songs are about:
    - Telling scientists to get on with cloning tech so the singer can finally bang himself because he's not flexible enough
    - The full lifecycle of how people turn into were-worms (aka, transform, crawl into the toilet and up sb ass...)
    - Hating music in a very eloquent manner, therefore informing the listener about musical theory
    - many others :D
Stumpen, the singer, does some incredible feats on stage while singing like this. He can singoperatically while doing full frontal flips and jump on top of his significantly taller bandmates shoulders, landing in a piggyback position with knees over shoulders from standing. And you are right when calling him operatic! He sang in the opera as a teenager until they decided to dump him suddenly because he wasn't looking like a kid enough anymore to pull of the usual roles for his higher voice range. He decided to spite and troll the operatic music scene at every point possible. Saw them half a year ago life, and goddamn, it was a show. Metal-punk-comedy and unlimited energy to the max. Just an incredible singer! Most lyrical genius is by Alf Ator, the man on the keys with the green towe-situation :D

It's a shame that in Germany and internationally another band is much more popular. Yet Knorkator's lyrics are not opium for the people, but a reflection of highly intelligent social observation. Not to mention their outstanding musical skills.

@@alexanderschoneberg8610 In this case, the lyrics can be understood as a summary of the work of the better-known group. Sex sells :D

@@Witzbold1983 This particular song is certainly not the best example, but Knorkator's more recent lyrics in particular are pretty deep.

I am from Germany. The Guys are not very popular in "West" Germany but in the east. The leader of the band have the background of the DDR (Also Tim Lindeman) But the Band and the musicvideos are out of space!!!

The lyrics are a string of sexually related terms, some of fetish or taboo origin.

I watched the last 30min Non Germans react to this Song. It's the funniest shit, how nobody outside Germany seems to get the joke. All are like how the Singer has such a great voice and "it's not german right? So unexpected"" meanwhile he sings just one dirty words after another the whole Song. :D

The song can be understood as a critic of the sex doctrine of the (catholic) church. 20 or so sex-related nonsense terms in an invented fake Latin played as a church song. And at the end (of the song and the concert) the band gives the crowd its absolution (so the title) for all their sex-related sins. The singer, nicknamed Stumpen (dialect form of "Stumpf" = stump because of his small and compact physique) once said in an interview that "Absolution" is the hardest song of the band's catalogue as there is no chorus, no rimes, nothing which helps you to remember the lyrics. He was trained as a professional opera singer in former East Germany (and can sing falsetto) but after Germany's reunification in 1990 went bunkers, playing kind of anarcho rock with his band Knorkator.
The "K" is pronounced, so NOT as in "knight", but as in "khan", "Khnorkator". The band's name itself is nonsense. It stems from the regional Berlin slang word "knorke", which means great, good, outstanding, excellent. Knorkator makes such kind of music. Their slogan is "die meiste Band der Welt", i.e. "the most (not the best) band of the world", another fun element.
I recommend to listen to the OV of "Klonen" (not one of the live versions). He felt in love with himself. To being finally able to have sex with himself, he wants to order a clone of him.
