I own a Jeep Compass Sport variant I agree it's probably the safest SUV in India and built like a truck. But the 5 Star rating is for the Limited variant because it has curtain airbags as well which impacts the rating.

It's a quality product right from zinc coating on the body to independent suspensions, all side abs brakes, laser welding etc. It's like a premium Polo.
Jeep compass is a good car but if anyone has any issues with ingress and egress better checkout KIA, it's so convenient even if a bicycle rams into it it'll break into two and the passengers can walk out of the car 😀😂

Your attitude is to give an impression that there is no such car available with such kind of safety features while volkswagen, skoda all such vehicle are having the adequate safety features and built quality as well. I'm having bmw 2 series coupe which built quality is unparalleled in comparison of Jeep compass. However I do believe Jeep compass is a good car but not exceptionally good as you are struggling to convince the people at large
my friend is a drug addict he have been through some major accidents in compass while driving under influence and guess what, each time he walked out without a scratch.

Hi,I am not sure which one you have driven whereas I got the Limited (O) MT and it gave me 14.5km/L in a mixed condition of City and Highway. I was driving at a speed of 70-80km/hr. The round trip was 110km and I have got this mileage. Based on this I have just booked Limited O Diesel MT.
Compass is not as safe as Harrier, not as feature rich as Seltos or Creta or Hector, not as premium as Skoda or Volkswagen and lastly not as of road capabilities as Thar.....and these all are way cheaper than Compass....no doubt compass is good car with good saftey features and overall good package with high premium price, but there is nothing unique like he is boasting, so premium price is not justified. Also if you want to compare with BM X1, Audi's Q3 and CLA....volvos....the highway manners, Stability, NVH, Class, brand value and quality is uncompareable to Compass.....and that reflects in sales numbers. 35-40lacs for Compass top model, dude you will get Endeavour or Fortuner who are papa's of SUV's at least in India.....
Compass is Euro 5 stars but Tata is afraid to send Harrier for crash test. Not every baloon car is safe and Compass is made as per european standards (exported from India) to which Harrier cant match in terms of safety or dynamics or anything

My manual petrol gives 7-8 in city and 5-6 in bumper to bumper traffic. It's a new car haven't tested highways.
