Talos was such an awesome character from the film. I remember watching it as a kid and being utterly transfixed when he came alive and climbed down off his plinth. Great looking model, very authentic.
Absolutely FANTASTIC Build Boyd!!! I hope to get a Talos figure for myself! I do sincerely appreciate the painting & weathering techniques that you've shared on this video. I would LOVE to have the TALOS statue on his original display base, the Treasure Chest of the Gods!!! Also, I would LOVE to have ALL of the Giant statues that was scene in the film on The Isle Of Crete!!! I plan to take some "stop-motion" classes at a local university and hope to recreate the scene where TALOS comes to life. Except, in my version ALL of the Giant Statues come to Life!!! "Hopefully"... :-)
Great work building and painting the Talos statue. Awesome job weathering it.....looks realistic. I hope you are planning on adding 1/350 or 1/700 scale P.E. crewman on the ship. Got to have a crew at the oars. Bill.
I might add some figures sometime later. The detail inside the Argo is basically just about flat so it would take some tedious work to make the seats to accommodate the figures.
I watched that movie when it was released to tv... I think I was eight. The main memory I get from Talos was the screeching metal to metal sound he made while chasing Jason. looks like the plug Jason removed from Talos’ heel is missing, which was Talos’ demise. The figurehead was Hera, Queen of the Gods and told him how to defeat Talos by removing said plug. So yeah, the plug on the heel needs to be added for just a little more accuracy. I’m anxious to see how you weather him! That movie inspired me to study mythology. Greek and Roman, with a little Viking mixed in for perspective. 😊
Yeah, according to the you tube videos I watched about doing water, silicone was the most common material they use. I have some liquid resin that's tinted blueish green that I am going to experiment with for this.

One of my favourite films. And Talos was the one character that really scared me!! Looks amazing. Can't wait to see the base!
Waited 50+- years to see Talos is a model. I'm thrilled to see this video. Seen movie 12x. Thx!

Doing an excellent job on bringing Talos to life Boyd! Look forward to your water effects on the base.
Thanks Mike, it's been a fun build.
Wow that is looking nice. I knew you would like the craft acrylics one you used them. I love them so far!
this is so cool
Great start to Talos,he looks very authentic Boyd,i look forward to seeing your water effects.
Thanks Lee, I decided to use some tinted clear resin for the water effects on the base. It worked out good and I'll show it in the next video.

Awesome Job Boyd the weather looks just fantastic.
Thanks Dennis :)
Super job Boyd! Talos is looking really cool! Anytime I can build a kit to weather is much more fun to build.
I agree, lot's of fun to be had with these kind of kit's :)
TrekWorks great to see you getting into these! Thanks for sharing.
Did you forget the movie or something?
They didn't put its weak point on the ankle.
You know, that circular shape that Jason opens to kill Talos.
Awesome start Boyd, Talos is looking cool. Silicon is easier to use I think as you a while to work with it before it starts to go off.

Amazing, thank you. I could never understand why he didn't have bird poop on him in the movie?!
How about the mechanical minotaur from Sinbad?
👍👍👍
Does Talos have the Seal on his Heel?
Yes, they actually remembered to add that small little detail.
TrekWorks
Wow. They really had an Eye for Details. The scene where Jason opens that Seal would be a great Diorama
what was the name of the bronze colour you put on
was it tamirya x33 at all
hope you got computer fix for show 90 boyd this is nice kit
It wasn't on our end here, it was the you tube streaming server having problems. Hopefully all is well this week.
hope so boyd bud it a shame if 90 show did go on
Desk needs to be cleaned
Talos: tay lose....
One SIXTH scale? 'They SURE about that? ;-D pages.vassar.edu/grst-202-52-2015b/files/2015/04/Talos.jpg
Yeah, considering the figure in the movie was about 100 feet tall, 1:6th scale seems a bit off ;)
Talos is too broad on this model. He should be slender muscular and ripped.
Increadible detail!!! Well worth the purchase! Envious I am!!!!!!
