    I really like how you do your research. You even got the fact that Hood is a battlecruiser right!
    Small tip: maybe slow down the slide shows a tiny bit, it was going a bit too fast for me to actually look at the images.

    Bismarck was arguably the best balanced and executed design of all the new battleships. She was very good to excellent in all major categories - guns, FC, armor, TDS, speed, range and sea keeping - which cannot be said about the other new battleships. Only post war HMS Vanguard came close.

      i respectfully disagree on that as much as it was an ok ship, the Kriegsmarine were no match for the Royal navy, Yes she was a threat to the allies cuz most convoys had no way of fighting her. she retained alot of flaws, Poorly protected rudders which ultimately led to her demise including the armor design as it was outdated , and not to mention its secondaries and boilers which further hindered its Capabilities. by the time it set sail what it had and the design of the ship was outdated, believe it or not it was actually less advanced than American, British, Italian, or Japanese battleships of the era. another flaw it had was the quality of armor and shells it had. and the Flaws adds up. I'll also throw it that the bismark totally failed to achieve the superiority

    Some accurate information but glaring errors I'm sad to say.
    Bismarck was NOT built under the Treaty of Versailles, but under the Anglo-German Naval Treaty of 1935, a treaty German violated instantly as the ship grossly exceeded the tonnage allowed under that Treaty. Not to mention her over exaggerated speed, 29knots not 30+, that is World of Warships bias.
    Her armor protection was mediocre for a ship of her tonnage and time, inferior to the Nelsons and King George Vs and her main armament no better than ships 30 years older and much smaller.

      Vielleicht war der Panzerschutz der Schlachtschiffe der Bismarck Klasse in ihrer Größe nur Mittelmäßig wie Sie schreiben, aber nur von der dicke her,vom Material war er erstklassig, mit der neuen Wunderlegierung von Krupp,Wotan hart,und Wotan weich, die in punkto Qualität, Festigkeit und Elastizität alles Angloamerikanische und Französische weit in den Schatten stellt.

    • @johnfisher9692
      @johnfisher9692 3 месяца назад +1

      @@A.G.798 Not only was Bismarck's armout thickness much less than Nelson OR KGV it was of the old obsolescent design of distributed armour scheme rather than the much more efficient All or Nothing. Bismarck was made more to fight cruisers than other Battleships.
      The quality of the armour was superior to many other Nations but was NOT superior to the latest British armour mixture's, both were the best in the world at the time and were of equivalent quality and resistance. Despite being 20% greater displacement, Bismarck had thinner armour and totally failed to achieve the superiority that oath breaking should have granted the ship.
      Strangely enough American armour mixtures were superior at cruiser levels.

      Both Bismarck and Tirpitz were able to do 30+ knots, as proven by trials.
      Bismarck's belt was backed up by the turtleback, giving her effectively more vertical armor than even Yamato. According to a US Navy report from1945 her armor protection, both vertical and horizontal, was considered excellent. But of course, you obviously know better.
      Her guns penetrated as much armor as the 16 inch guns of the new US SD and NC classes, and 70% more than Nelson's guns. In addition they were very accurate with a fast ROF.

    • @johnfisher9692
      @johnfisher9692 Месяц назад

      @@TTTT-oc4eb Yes I DO know better because I read more than the big book of German lies and Propaganda nor do I agree with WoWs bias.
      Since the days of the Imperial German Navy, their ships trial speeds have always been suspect as the ships were in very light condition and only done in calm weather. I have multiple sources listing er speed as 29knots not the 30+ in that silly game.
      The turtleback scheme had it's good points, but also severe!!! weaknesses which Wehraboos ignore, it is especially dangerous for a ship like Bismarck with it's relatively low freeboard. It is NOT some golden pill which makes the ships invincible. If you think that, talk to HMS Rodney.
      If it was SOOOOOO good every other navy would have stuck with it instead of moving to the all or nothing scheme.
      Her guns were good but nowhere near the level you are claiming, since there were no comparative trials done we have to rely on Nazi records and we know how truthful they were. Pity the German heavy Naval shells were so bad they had a high failure rate.
      The ammunition feed system could (if run at maximum) fire three rounds/minute but they were very delicate if pushed to that and would likely break down quickly. Her safe rate of fire was two rounds/minute, the same as most other BBs but due to the need to observe fall of shot and make corrections a BB was usually only firing one round/minute. Only during shore bombardments would a ship fling out shells as fast as possible
