Honestly the turtle beach mic on full preset eq is not bad at all, there are far worse microphones out there like logitech or even the steel series which I personally have and that makes you sound like an astronaut commentator 🧑🚀😂
if you want to hear around you better and want a bluetooth option to switch between devices which is also light and doesn't hurt your ears, then this is probably the best for its price (since there are not many open back bluetooth headsets around). The software is currently very bad, but hopefully it gets resolved with updates, out of the box the sound is solid and with current update you can still tweak most things you need. Currently I need to be at around 40-60% volume compared to my HS80's 6-20%. The mic is mediocre but not bad, if I would not need the bluetooth and open back, then I would stick with my old corsair HS80 (very breathable, good mic, comfy and good sound, but heavier, less responsive and no bluetooth) Hope that helps
Tried these out as an upgrade from sennheiser game one, mic is trash in comparison. Audio is also substantially worse. Quite comfortable, but the clamping force is honestly too loose, and that's coming from someone who has quite a large head. Returned them
It sounds very average, I wouldn't say it sounds better than 90% of headsets on the market. Perhaps I was a little bit biased since I literally just finished reviewing the Blackshark V2 Pro mic before this and the Blackshark V2 Pro has arguably the best sounding wireless mic on the market currently.
1. The headset is loud before the update, after it is quiet so there is definitely a bug in the firmware, the only real way to get good volume as of now is use it in passive mode and use the 3.5mm cable and then it sounds awesome! But also defeats the purposes, its no longer wireless and you cant EQ Volume wheel is not tuned well either, you basically get nothing until 50% on wireless, and it stays quiet until 85-100٪ 2. Swarm ll app is buggy, just like the turtlebeach audio app used with the stealth pro's...literally took (month) to get update on their top teir product, and makes you wonder how much attention will they give to a mid teir product? I like tge hardware from turtlebeach, its always the software that makes it fall apart, they really do need to drain the swap over there and hire new software engineers! Or hire more, i mean updates should never take (months) i for one will return these if there is no update within a week to address the problems. Go look at the returns on Best Buy
Honestly I don't understand how TB is still in business, I have the 700 gen 2 max headset same issue the volume is super low but oddly Bluetooth audio from my phone is max volume, do not look for an firmware update anytime soon so you may as well return these now
@@Amp_Edition I Don't think any of their dongles work after an update is applied, my 700s dongle worked out the box but after the update everything was out of wack I couldn't believe it until I googled and went on reddit and read how many people lost money on that particular headset, everyone had the exact same problem "Low Volume" 🤦🤦🤦
@mrbigtymer78 I can say this, iv had my stealth pro's since launch, and they have been good the whole time, it's just the app was buggy for a long time, but seems fine now. I have read this about the 700's and 600's. I was surprised they let this happen to a brandnew headset being the first openback! I mean, they are shooting themselves in the foot.
@@Amp_Edition I wished I had known about the Lucid Sound ls50x I never would've bought the 700s, the Lucid Sounds ls50x basically has the exact same features and simultaneous Bluetooth and Amazon has them for $89 bucks which is a steal and I can't wait till Thursday to receive them, and their firmware update actually works 🤣🤣🤣🤣

I want to buy these but the current update people are talking about it scares me.

Does these headphones work with ps5
Yes
For the amount these companies charge why can't they make the mic sound good.
I personally think the mic sounds good on these.
