Ukraine is slowly but surely regaining ground, what ever happened to we will have Kiev within the week? Now you seem to be on track to lose Zaporizhzhia. What's next? Mariupol? Crimea? How long will the Russian people support a loser dictator who has so badly mismanaged a war that he himself started? How much Ruzzian blood is enough? Ruzzia will ultimately end up paying a high price once this war is over, you will see. The young man in the video, look at all he lost, there will be a need for compensation, and the loser will have no choice but to pay.

It's important to recognize that in the conflict between Ukraine and Russia, one party, Russia led by Putin, initiated the conflict by unjustly declaring it for his own interests and to boost his own image as a strong leader, instead of taking genuine action in improving the deteriorating quality of life of the Russian population. Putting both Ukraine and Russia on the same level in terms of innocence overlooks this crucial fact. When assessing the situation, it's essential to acknowledge that one side bears a significant responsibility for the conflict's outbreak, while the other is defending its sovereignty and territorial integrity.

The overwhelming amоunt of approving and cheering соmments by ordinary Russians in response to videos about the atrocities committed against civilians and prisoners of war in Ukraine were equally as shocking to Ukrainians as the war itself.
We somehow became accustomed to the war, but the realization of who we have been living alongside all this time without even knowing it is still horrifying.

The fact that there are so much higher numbers of amputees shows how far combat medicine and equipment has advanced since ww2. Back then, a wound like that would likely have been fatal. That's why there were less, most of them didn't make it to achieve amputee status.

Andre, as a musician myself, & having lost my singing voice twice due to life threatening illness (COVID was one of the times), I understand the frustration of losing your voice. It will take even more hard work on your part, but you can get it back. I would highly recommend getting a speech therapist & a vocal coach to help you as soon as it's possible. In the meantime, just 15-20mins singing practice per day (with one day off each week) can work wonders in itself. Don't worry about how bad it sounds to you, the practice & hard work will pay off. Then you will enjoy all the benefits of singing again.

    What an incredible couple.
We never had soldiers surviving triple amputation injuries until the recent war in Iraq, simply because a blast sufficient to take three limbs always used to kill the victim. Double amputation injuries were also fatal more often than not. Now we have body-armour that protects the vital organs even when the limbs are lost. But many young people who are thus injured go through periods of wishing they had died anyway. It is understandable. I have witnessed it first hand and it is heart-breaking. I am pleased to see this young man is still full of a love for life.

I despise people in the comments who make bizarre statements of relativism of "I feel bad for all innocents, Russian or Ukrainian." These sorts of comments are degrading of the fact that Russian soldiers have invaded and are crippling Ukrainians. This is one of the rare times in history that all of the blame belongs to one side.

This tragedy of having so many well respected warriors among the "disabled" population, could be the opportunity for societal mind shift regarding people with disabilities. Ukraine,, aming many other "Eastern " European nations, historically have not dedicated alot of resources on accessibility & services for those with disabilities.
It seems the Ukrainians have this opportunity to make changes from new infrastructure being most accessible, city planning re: accessible sidewalks, intersections, social facilities & businesses also will want to have accessibility featues. As these youth return to society, with their pre-war education & skills, perhaps businesses want to be accomodating in order to retain these brilluant, dedicated & brave youth.
Perhaps out of this tragic war will rise new societal attitudes, with greater accomodation & acceptance. Which positively impacts all of us with disabilities.
Perhaps this isn't "just wishful thinking"...
