@@테도스타 Wow, that's a strange result. It's very different from the Kurdish average, but at the same time doesn't show clear signs of mixing with near-by peoples such as Arabs, Turks or Assyrians. I believe it's due to a low coverage DNA sample. How much SNPs does it say it evaluated? You can find that at the bottom of the test result that has a pie chart with colors. Your Gedrosia score is remarkably low. Kurds typically score 24-27%. Your South Asia score is higher than average. Gedrosia and South Asia are linked though so it might explain your low Gedrosia score. Your North European score is remarkably high. Kurds from the Zagros region typically score 6-9% North Euro. Your Atlantic Med score is lower than average though. Again, these are also linked. Combined, it's 16.73%, which is ~ same as mine. The rest of your scores are normal. So, yeah,. a strange result, but not so strange if you're familiar with how admixture calculators work. You probably have a typical Kurdish ancestral background, but the low coverage sample didn't show a representative proportion of ancestry. What about your Eurogenes K13?`It tends to evaluate more SNPs.
@@테도스타 Thanks. Your Eurogenes K13 result was expected, with same kind of unusual proportions. 66k SNPs for K12b is low. For comparison, mine evaluated 160k. That's almost 3x as many. You were unlucky I guess, because mine was also from MyHeritage. You will probably get a better raw data if you do the MyHeritage test again, but it's not worth it. It's still easy to tell, once you take into the account the low SNPs and strange distribution, that this is a normal Kurdish result.

No. "Middle Eastern" is based on Negev Bedouins, but scoring "Middle Eastern" doesn't mean you have Negev Bedouin ancestry. It only means you have shared prehistoric ancestry with Bedouins. All Middle Easterners have shared Neolithic and Mesolithic ancestry. The J1 subclades that are dominant among Arabians were originally from the Zagros and Caucasus area. 4.5% "Middle Eastern" is actually low for Kurds. I'm Kurdish too, but I scored 16% Middle Eastern.
