We’re going to see the next evolution of V8 in the next 5-8 years. Sad to see the current Hemi go but they’ll be back. Stallantis is going to learn a valuable lesson in the next 2-3 years.

I think its stupid for Stellantis to kill the legendary Hemi V8.

I could understand killing the modern Hemi and doing something smaller and in maybe less volume but completely eliminating it seems like a poor choice in the long run. It's what the have built their brand on for the last 20 years and I don't see people going to them for an electric car or turbo I6. Honestly people would but the 5.7 with a hybrid system if it was the only way to get a V8 because it is one.
I think the new Charger looks good if rather bland in some way but the lift back does make it unique.

I agree 100% but understand the decent reason to, and that's our government's mandates for car manufacturers. Going all in for electric never made sense to me but to each their own. 😉

Dying breed no the v8 will live on nobody can deny it’s the best configuration in my opinion and damn sure the best sounding also my opinion. NHRA ain’t gonna use anything else why should I.

It may live in the racing world, but as far as new vehicle construction, maybe not. 😉

@@ModernRedHemi Yeah this is true. I suppose we’re stuck using old blocks and dependent on the aftermarket to make these blocks plus after market stuff for it. Truly sucks how things are turning out but I guess nothing good last forever. Maybe it will return in the future potentially under new a way better president who tells the epa to stick it promoting the v8 once again. History does repeat itself. The v8 is just a small piece of the pie in my opinion as the companies are swayed and told what to do by politicians who stand to gain big from the switch to ev. Hell if they had it their way we wouldn’t race at all probably be like Australia best case scenario where they barely get v8 cars 😂. Even Germany uses 4.4l v8s haven’t made the 6.2 in some time. The whole world is basically doing what happened in the 80s-90s where small 4 cylinders and jdm crap light cars with crap power were a big thing and only moved thanks to boost except now they want full control. You notice all the newer cars are restricted to low top speeds and they’re trying to charge you for everything that your car already comes with 🤣 like a renta service for your owned car. You think about its a means of control ev and destroys anyone trying to race who wants to use a newer car over time which will not only starve us even if we have the car but the aftermarket unless they want to build engines as there are only so many OEM blocks available And they do blow up. Idk man we need a real hail marry here that’s for sure.

Makes one ponder is it time to hoard Hemis, I think. Better hoard parts. They will slowly disappear Summit is not making a lot of money.

I'm with ya brother but may have to change brands, if buying a new car, if you want to keep a V8. Now the millions already out there will be around for a while but you can count on the government coming up with some rule to stomp it down. 😉
