Wow! after watching All This Mayhem doco, and seeing him still shredding after all the crap he´s been through, i cant help but get a tear in my eye. Such a beast! Ben would ve been stoked:)
The proper order of wording for the last trick is "kickflip varial indy 540" and he is also the first person to ever pull it off. Tas Pappas is the reason for the format of modern skate competition. Before him people did one trick on the vert and done. He basically invented the comp runs we know of today. Ive seen him in competition against Tony Hawk and in my mind he embarrassed Tony's tired ass every time. He doubled up Tony's hang time in most comps. A true legend
what a robbery those vert champs against him...tony hawk you know deep he was better than you, much more talented, yes you worked hard but he was simply better
You must be completely delusional as well. "The reason for the modern format" are you on crack? If before him people did "one trick on vert and done" then when was the 540 and 720 invented? And did no one ever do these two tricks in the same run? Tas was a good skater who placed well for one year in 1996. Tony Hawk placed well and won most comps from 1981 to 2000 and also landed the first 900. Wake up you ignorant moron.
Tas has probably my favorite style on vert... big air, straight up and down, plus all the various flip/grab combos he does. Sluggo might be runner up, for me...
I seen some other footage where every flip trick he lands it’s stomped and the stomp is a simultaneous pump at the same time. The commitment is next level.
Tas was supposed to do the 900 at the '99 x games but he wasn't allowed in the best trick which is where Tony Hawk landed the 900. I think Tony knew Tas was gonna try the 900 in the best trick comp so they wouldn't let Tas be apart of it
Yep 12th person to land a 900 it took a long time since 99 ? and he needed a mega ramp to do it. Tas qualified 8th in the 99 X Games and did NOT make the five cut because he had been trying 900s all year in best trick comps and didnt accrue any points for not landing them. He also did not land any 900s at the 900 comps set up by his own sponsor Globe. His claims around this are a load of shit. He had plenty of opportunity to do one on film. You dont steal tricks you land them. Get your facts straight.

ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE. Can't think of a more inspiring comeback in skateboarding
Tas is by far the MOST entertaining skater to watch. Period. LOVE his style, big respect :D
Best skate video ever. Butterfly Ball is perfect. Stomping 8' of air... priceless..
The one dislike must be from tony hawk
+George Kostis hahaha comment of the year!!!

Hawks moves were a joke Tas destroyed him, no comparison. It was political and Tony was the politician
+John Fafalios Tony stole the 900 from Tas.
He may be better than Hawk buy you would have to be stupid or willfully ignorant to claim he is the reason for the way competitions are set up.

Tas is the best vert skater period
Best vert skating I've ever seen. Ozzie vert skaters are the best.
That frontside lein air at 0:52 was a thing of beauty.
+Stephen Loflin He seriously launches there - and correct me if I'm wrong, but it looks very frontside to me!
troyundroy1 You right, LOL. He's goofy footed. I'll edit.
0:54 is the most beautiful air I have ever seen.
Best skater in the world
incredible skating, love it! good old prahran ramp, still in good shape after all these years
Tas has probably my favorite style on vert... big air, straight up and down, plus all the various flip/grab combos he does. Sluggo might be runner up, for me...
Gods gift bro 🙏🏼
so talented! this guys skill is top drawer,at any age!

Lights out fucking awesome.
What a legend. if the cliche is as good as his platinum board it will be killer.
In today's The Age newspaper it reports that Tas is the first Australian to land the 900 and the 12th person in the world to do it.
+coslifehurts He would've been first, but Hawk robbed him.
+DanSkates um no, Taste tried it for years and failed, how is that Tony's fault? How come it took him decades to land it?

TAS could of landed the trick anywhere and been the first
