For them to kiss and reveal feelings to each other right after Ron leaves would put a lot of dirt on them, as Ron (as bewitched as he was at the time) left thinking that Harry and Hermione cared more about each other than they did about Ron or the other horecruxes.
When she chose in the tent to stay by Harry's side over her feeling towards Ron, whether romantic or friendship, that shows she puts Harry on first priority above anything and more than anyone. Harry and Hermione knew exactly who they were to each other and who the other was to them. They built each other up and were there when the other broke. Through the fights and the glory, they were side by side. They always thought of each other 1st and had incredible understanding. Having a very mature and intimate relation, they also had a lot of fun. Every time they took each other's name or hugged, there was always something. They were best friends but also much more than that. THEY WERE TRUE SOULMATES WHO DESERVED EACH OTHER !!! And no one can say they didn't have great chemistry, just look at how they looked at each other and smiled and they always knew who the other was and could find them in the crowd, in the noise, as if they were the only who mattered. For them to kiss and reveal feelings to each other right after Ron leaves would put a lot of dirt on them, as Ron (as bewitched as he was at the time) left thinking that Harry and Hermione cared more about each other than they did about Ron or the other horecruxes.

When she chose in the tent to stay by Harry's side over her feeling towards Ron, whether romantic or friendship, that shows she puts Harry on first priority above anything and more than anyone. The argument "she loves him but she is not in love with him" is ridiculous. The explanation "she is like sister" is confusing too because I am not like that with my brother. But I still thank J.K anyway to create their relationship very beautiful.
EXACTLY. I never understood the bRoThEr AnD sIsTeR logic. It is just dumb. I have never seen any brother and sister treat eachother like this + if hermione has this kind of relationship with her bRotHeR then her relationship with her lover should be somewhat similar. I have always felt like day by day harrys feeling and love for hermione was growing,but he respects and adores her as much as her feeling for Ron too.
