B K I don’t think any snake enjoys it. Some may become used to it over time, but they aren’t like dogs or cats that enjoy being petted by people.

B K Well you can’t ever say everything is one way or the other. I honestly have no idea the emotional depth a snake has. There is a video here on RUclips of an older man sitting on a dock talking about how the snakes are his friends. Within a matter of seconds a large water snakes pops up out of the water and climbs up his leg to take a perch his holding. So there’s no doubt that snake recognized him and definitely knew he was not a threat. I like to think the snake was happy to see his old friend, but humanizing animals is sometimes just wishful thinking.

‘ red on yellow, kills a fellow ‘

Too many word combinations that are easy to mix up...
      Red touches Yellow, friendly fellow.
Red touches Black, dead man Jack.

The more I watch your channel the more impressed I am with the information you provide. In this video you also show how difficult handling this species can be. I always thought that the (Eastern) Coral snakes were more of a reactive species than a thinking or even contemplative species... until I got a rescue call on a very large (over 30 inches) individual that was surprisingly laid back and friendly!
He would almost always respond to his cage being opened by wanting to crawl out on your hand or arm and at no time did it give any indication of wanting to bite. Given it's size and toxicity it always warranted your undivided attention when being free handled, but seemed to thoroughly enjoy the interaction. I almost got it to eat a small scented mouse... but it was only able to half swallow it, before backing off of it. That one individual changed my view on Coral snakes as potential captives. By the way I got more calls on Coral snake rescues than any other venomous snakes and they were always Corals (versus Scarlet Kings or Scarlet snakes). I live in central Florida.
    Keep up the excellent work!

@PsychicMedium4747 from what I read the tiger and the Mojave are about even both take about 10 to 15mg of venom to be lethal. At the same time they do deliver much more than the coral snake making them or atleast the Mojave much more dangerous.

i would pick it up any way i would have picked up a rattle snake if they were not so aggressive but i did touch an Arizona diamond back though with my hands and they are not aggressive not like the rattle snake. dont ever be afraid when picking up snakes as well they sense fear thats when they will attack that's my key. if you show fear to it they will be more aggressive to you but if you show no fear the snake will let you pick it up and let you put the snake in your mouth just like i did for a coral snake and the other key is dont try to pick the snake if you are sweating they see your body temp and they will be more aggressive to you so if you want to pick up a snake better take a super cold shower before picking any snakes up thats my rule of thumb because when i pick up snakes up i dont know if there poisonous i just want to pick up and some were because i am working. i didnt know that i had put coral snake in my mouth till i looked it up and it trusted me like i trusted the snake

    Dude!
You made me ~very nervous~ watching how you handled/mishandled that quirky and fast moving Coral Snake!
Maybe you should be standing up vs sitting down to better prepare yourself in the future whenever you’re handling a quick moving venomous snake!?
    Just a thought….

I can tell you my personal experience about the Mohave Green Rattlesnake which I have strong doubt a coral snake is capable of. My friend Dan had caught one about 3 feet long down the street and brought it to my house. When he walked inside with it I was like bro get that thing out of here now! Dan said” I don’t want to kill it, let’s go let it go” I said ok. Dan walked outside to open my gate as I grabbed my keys when I heard him yell” mike it got me”. When I got outside Dan was holding it down and there was a shovel in my truck I grabbed it and soon as I had it secured and removed it’s head Dan took off running to my front door which was about 30 feet from us and collapsed unconscious before he made it and was airlifted and in a coma for 2 weeks and given 34 vials of anti venom. Long story short the snake never fully punctured his skin it only scratched his thumb cause how he was holding its head. The snake doctor at loma Linda hospital is the one who took care of him. Dan is a big dude about 6’3” and 200 lbs and has permanent muscle damage in his arm from the incident

Dude the eastern diamond back is the most venomous/toxic snake in America. Google it.

      this is false

    • @venomman20
      @venomman20  4 года назад +3

Don't rely on google for your snake information. The only truth to that statement is that the eastern diamondback has the biggest venom yield. But it's not even remotely the most toxic. Eastern diamondback venom takes close to 100mg to kill a human max recorded yield is 800mg. The coral snake only requires 4mg to kill making it over 20 times more toxic

Lol most toxic snake and snake with the highest quantity of venom vr the snake with the most medically significant bite are all different species. The snake you are looking at here is the most toxic or most venomous in common terms. If you disagree with this maybe you need to subscribe so I can share the knowledge I have spent my life obtaining
