    Thanks for all the videos, I enjoy them!
    On one view, locals should give more waves to outsiders, as locals can score waves any time they want. Just playing Devil's advocate here... . Here is an analogy:
    - Small town and a big city, with no restaurants in the small town.
    - There is an unwritten priority system where people in the big city get priority in the booking system over those from the small town who want to enjoy a night out.
    If I was a local that had access to waves 24/7 I wouldn't feel a divine right to have priority. Maybe I'm just different here...
    As a change up, I would like to see a video from you that goes into a lot of depth around the psychological and philosophical aspects of surfing and ocean water sports more generally. This content could include differences when it comes to different types of water users - i.e. surfers, bodysurfers, SUPers, foilers, kayakers etc. It would be super interesting and probably very controversial.
    Keep up the good work!

      Your are going in winter with a 3/2mm You are fine but in cold days You need a 4/3 for long session in lima, for the North a 3/2 is more than fine

      Hey Cassidy! Yes, I traveled with a 6ft board bag (with 3 x boards in) everywhere in Latin America and mostly traveled by bus! Never had any issues bringing it on, and rarely had to pay extra :))

    I have surf traveled to many of the destinations your videos have been about. I know making it seem doable for cheep gets you likes but so does real information. You have real information but the pricing is baloney. I am not a high budget traveler, I search for bargains. I went LA to Lima for $1100 in 2018, just did a quick search on Kayak gives me just under that in June 2024 (start of surf season), literally more than 1/3 over what you are saying an entire trip will cost ($740). You also skipped my favorite break, between Lobitos (pronounced horribly) and Chicama (which is mushy crap). Be aware that this is a destination where a wetsuit is needed. Like you said, overnight buses are the way to go and for this I recommend getting the more expensive ones with seats that fold all the way down to a flat bed, video games and movies. They also video tape every person getting on the bus, a known bandito tactic is to board the bus armed and meet your buddies in the middle of the Peruvian desert to rob the bus, they know better than to do it on the expensive buses (I know I just said I was a low budget traveler and now here I am recommending the more expensive bus). Definitely try the pulpo (octopus) ceviche while you are there. I love your content, your living my dream, but you need to make the pricing realistic.

    • @DanHarmon123
      @DanHarmon123  7 месяцев назад +3

      Hey Brant! Thanks for your comment. The pricing (by my research) is accurate. However, flight prices can change depending on location and time of year so yep, this might change. Yeah, pronunciation isn't my strong point haha, and I skipped a few lesser-known spots for a very good reason. Ahh wicked, thanks for the heads up on the better buses, although I had no issues regarding robberies. Thanks again for your comment and all the info, but will have to disagree on the pricing :)

      Just with the buses, some have some pretty sketchy safety. Exclusiva which is part of civa seems to have a good record but most pricy. Can break up trips north by stopping in Trujillo. Spent a couple of years there a while back and planning to hit it up again soon. Special place in my heart
