My name is Jens Larsen, Danish Jazz Guitarist, and Educator. The videos on this channel will help you explore and enjoy Jazz. Some of it is how to play jazz guitar, but other videos are more on Music Theory like Jazz Chords or advice on practicing and learning Jazz, on guitar or any other instrument.
The videos are mostly jazz guitar lessons, music theory, song analysis, and videos on jazz guitars.

Excellent lesson Jens thank you
Glad you liked it!
Cant believe I'm seeing a John Squire shoutout in a Jens video. I listened to Second Coming endlessly in high school :)
Haha! He is a great guitarist, even Liam Gallagher thinks so 😁
Always helpful and informative lessons.......I mentioned "comping " in the comments of a previous video and .....here it is...!!! Thanks Jens......!!!
Glad you like it Rick!
Another superb lesson that im sure ill return to time and time again...
Thank you Christian!
Rather than playing small group jazz, I've ended up as the guitarist in two big bands. I'd love to hear if you have any experiences or tips that would help those of us doing this. Rootless voicings are de rigeur, of course.
I have played in a big band and all i can say is that you are the heartbeat of it all but no one will hear you 😅
This is one of the best things I have seen on RUclips for guitar! Thank you :)
Glad you like it!
This was very accessible for beginners. Thank you.
Glad it was helpful!
I too use any excuse to use an Yngwie quote 🧐
He is indeed not only hilarious but also Swedish 😎
@@JensLarsenDet kan ikke lade sig goere 😊
“I don’t eat f*cking donuts”
@@josephcates1238 that’s a particularly good one 🇸🇪
It's Obvious... "More is always MORE..." Yngwie M. 🙂
Thanks so much, Jens! I think I got the most out of those rhythms between the root and the other notes in the chord. Stuff I can use right away to spice things up!
I love your creative editing, man. Cracks me up every time, because your laid back style and attitude actually makes it a bigger surprise! Your videos are a kind of jazz in and of themselves in that way. Swingy, soft, yet surprising at the same time.
🤗🤗🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟Спасибо вам за видео! Ваши уроки самые лучшие!💗💗🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰💛💛
🙏🙂
Really appreciate your work. Been online looking up music stuff for a couple decades. You're one of the best out there.
Thanks Jens!
Jens, You do great job. I love your lessons so much.
Thank You
I'm a sucker for those yngwie quotes that unleash the F'n fury.
😁🙏
Sliding into Dm7 hahah
Very insightful! Jens' video made me want to get my guitar and try out these ideas!
Go for it 🙂
Thanks!
Thank you for your support Tom!
How can less be more? It's impossible. More is more

Great video! "Less" Larsen
Thanks!
Hey Lars, it's amazing better. Thank you.
Glad you like it!
Great stuff!
Glad you like it!
Great as always Jens. For me be able to play (essentially) the same chord in the same position on different string sets has been important, as has being able to move the same chord up and down the neck.
Indeed! You need to be flexible 🙂
Great video!
Glad you enjoyed it
Great !
Glad you like it
Please Sir what's that jimmy's song (Concert) at 7:01
Excellent video's on your chennel by the way... They helped me alot to progress on my guitar learning jurney.
That's Stairway to heaven
Good video
Glad you enjoyed
Can i cath D m with the 2 nd and 3 fingers?! I cant not with 2 and 4😢
Hi Jens,
Do you do teaching online?
One on one?
🔥🔥🔥🔥👌😃
🙏
OK I'm going to skip today's lesson and make a clip of the Yngwie quote...just so I can loop it over and over for about 48 hrs.
Heeeey long stretched chords can be good too, but probably not in this genre 😅
Maybe take that up with Ben Monder, John Stowell and Allan Holdsworth 🙂
@@JensLarsen Yeah you are right about that but that is a different kind of jazz imo
@@JensLarsen Although i must confess i only know Allan holdsworth of the three you mention 😅
@@hansbendixen5430 Maybe consider it homework
@@JensLarsen haha
Hey Jens, sorry.
But I have a much simpler explanation for these techniques. It makes it easier for one to play while a little drunk or high and makes it easier on one's conscience if you miss a few notes here and there.
Go easy on Yngwie--the poor man was genuinely befuddled when dressing like an 18th century aristocrat suddenly went out of style! 😂🤣😜
😁👍
Thanks!
Thank you for the support, Joseph!
