One of these days I might give it a shot at making a pop-up card. I've always thought they were pretty cute, but it already takes me sometimes two hours just to make my regular embellished cards. Thanks for sharing.
WOW!! this is a very special card, thank you for showing us how to make it, and really appreciate you telling us what things we need to look for to make it work.
Thank you for this video as I wanted to know if I could use your circle die to do this card...I really like your rendition of it..Very artistic and clean looking...thanks Karen. pat
Karen, I always love your assembling videos. They are so clear and contain so many tips and tricks. Can the twist circle approach to this panel card be used to make a 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 sized card? Are you aware of someone who has done this? Thanks for any information you can provide!
You can do a 4.25" x 5.5" card in the long position, but you need at least 4.5" of height to your card to hide the arms, so it wouldn't work as a top-fold A2 short, if that makes sense? If you watch the video for the Twist Panel die set (so you don't even have to alter the Twist Circle - just use the die already designed for this - I believe I made an A2 long) ruclips.net/video/BuNlkY3x4t0/видео.html
Thanks. There's actually a die specifically to do this card without having to alter the Twist Circle now. The new die is called #1009 Twist Panel and is available from my new website: karenburniston.com or at local stores. You can always make pop-up cards with a craft knife, ruler and scoring tool - it just takes more time and precise measuring. My tutorials are all die-based, because I design dies, but you can do a Google search and find tons of cut-by-hand tutorials for pop-ups if you prefer.
Well if you want to make it faster, I now have a die set to make this card without having to adapt the Twist Circle to do it. Here's the link: karenburniston.com/twist-panel-pop-up-die-set/
No. The die itself will work in any size card. If you want to modify the Twist Circle to make a panel card like in this video but with an A2 instead of the 5x6 in the video, start with an A2 long top fold card (4.25" x 11" folded at 5.5") and then follow the video. The panels, in the folded position, will fit that footprint.

Do the cards have to be larger than A2 in order to use this pop up twist circle die?
