I'd like to know the same thing. I just bought a piece of 14gauge 304 stainless steel. I'm going to try and hammer one out. See how that turns out. It's 28" so not as big as his but I figured I'd start there before I attempt to make a larger one. I'd like to make a few different sizes; a 42", 60" and an 80". Don't know if the metal thickness should increase with the size of the gong or it they are all pretty much the same. If anyone can give any info, it would be greatly appreciated.✌

Anyone know the name of the mallet being used from 1:11 to 1:37 ? Because I loved the tone it was making, beautiful overtones.
