Interesting aspect to Elvis' records. Had a friend, whom I met in 1984, who collected them. Hadn't seen them before. He got them at the local recorde store 'under the counter' - £10 each. I loved them. Some were better than what RCA were issuing. Later I got a few, including some 45's. Then a detailed book all about them. It also tells the story of how RCA were aware of these bootlegs and the FBI were called in made a number of arrests at a record convention and closed the whoe thing down....not totally though. Elvis was known to have signed some for fans.

Am from the UK I remember some of them

Song collection was pressed first in the UK on star call which was a green label on the front top right hand cover should have star cool logo on the back on the first pressing will have releases from other albums advertised from other artists then it was released again on star goal but didn't have Stark all written on the label and the back headlining notes which were all wrong but what they thought was right then the third pressing and fourth pressing which is what you had with no sparkle on the top it was either on the Orange label black or the blue but there is a really rare pressing released in France on Camden

Your so-called sun album is the Sun Collection from the UK but what you have is the last present

Why do you have to be such a smart ass with your comments? You must have an attitude problem. Think love and peace and chant on it and forgive people’s mistakes.

Thanks for sharing. That was fun to see. Did you get a lot of bootlegs when they came out? They were probably hard to get pre-Internet days.

Hey EPgoldenage, they were easy to get back in the day and didn’t cost much either. About 2 dollars more or so than regular albums. I found them at my local record store as well as flea markets and a place in NJ called Cowtown. Many dealers had them. Those were the days!!

I don’t know about Korean pressings. I’ve never come across any in my almost 50 years of collecting. Sorry I can’t help you.
