- I set out to ask my Buddy @HamRadioCrusader if he is having issues with his Tidradio TD-H3 on UHF Low power as I saw no power output registering on my TD-H3.
in my previous video ( • Tidradio TD-H3 - A Det... ) My observation was UHF on low power showed 0 watts. The radio still transmitted on uhf. I was considering I may have a bad radio or there is a firmware issue. I needed this confirmation as documentation and assistance looking into a bigger issue (than just my radio). Join us as Freddie tests UHF High and Low Power and VHF high and low power, through a meter and with the factory antenna (my tests were conducted on a dummy load, so check that video out and then go subscribe to @HamRadioCrusader )
Ham Radio Crusader WILL be testing the radio on his own and having a review on his channel soon, so make sure to go check him out!
It can be seen from your videos that you don't like TIDRADIO, and I can even feel that you are biased against them. I am a user of TIDRADIO. I bought an H8 radio and a Bluetooth programmer. These are great products! There may be some problems when it first comes on the market, but they are a responsible manufacturer and they have solved all the problems raised by customers! I admire their service, their pursuit of technology, and their attitude toward problem-solving. These are unmatched by other brands.
I'm glad you could tell me how I feel about certain things. Because as I expressed n my last video, it seems to be a pretty good radio and I'm not putting anything down as much as I am pointing out certain things that are incorrect.. I made a 32 minute video showing everything I could about the radio and only had minor problems like I mentioned in the video. But thank you for telling me how I feel. Because I had thought originally that I was pointing out certain things that could be corrected and would help make it a better radio. Who knew that I was wrong about my own feelings.
Pointing out obvious, legitimate flaws is not "bias." I agree that TIDRADIO has been responsive to complaints, but how are they to fix issues if people don't bring them to their attention?
Totally agree
I had the same power output problem with a pair of H8's purchased from Amazon. One radio of the pair had excellent output. The other was nearly half the output. Tidradio does have an app named TX powertune that can be used to adjust the output of their radios. After using the application the output of my second radio was better. Still not as good as the first radio though.
To be fair to TIDRADIO, they did replace the radio that had low wattage.
I contacted Tidradio for my battery issue and they will replace the whole unit, after the Spring Festival Holiday. It's good customer support. I am not sure I want to have to download an app to fix my power output, but I will find a burner phone and try. Good Info, thanks! Edit: It's software for the computer. I have it downloaded on a burner laptop and am seeing what it will do. Thanks.
I got the h3 software downloaded (the folder was called tx powertune).... There is a bit of an understanding barrier with this software. When I read the radio I get multiple columns and rows, such as CH, RX Freq, TX Freq, and QT/DQT Dec. I do not see anywhere to change the power levels.
I have no transmit at all on my TD-H3. Ham, GMRS, or unlocked. It shows it's transmitting, but it's not.
They need to fix it it's supposed to put at 8 watts I'm not buying it now thank you Freddy thank you ham radio Dude 😮😮😮😮
Hola, compre dos de estas radios y las dos se quedaron en poco tiempo sin potencia, tan malas son?¿
I just checked mine. VHF was 6.72 watts on high power and 5.13 watts on low power. UHF was 6.54 watts on high power and 2.6 watts on low power and this was using the stock antenna.
What is the funtion of the 1 thru 5 at the top of the h3 screen ?
Don't know how they expect to sell any radios with these QC issues. That kinda power output on UHF is a major issue.
How can they advertise 8 watts and lie about this😢😢😢😢
Tidradio has agreed to RMA my original radio due to my battery issue! This will take a couple of weeks due to the Holiday. Don't forget to Subscribe to be alerted of more videos in the future.
Yeah...if you could go ahead and let us know how the replacement radio works, that'd be great. M'kay?
🤣🤣🤣 I definitely will!
It can be seen from your videos that you're trying to get us the best information possible...
Thank you!
Thank You. It is nice when people get it. Have a good one!
I’ve heard of this.. transmitting doesn’t sound the best on here.. could it be okay for frequency hopping/ td to td use?
I've been itching to rewatch Office Space, LOL. Great video!
10 out of 10 movie
Just weird. The power I tested is 5 watts. I know, just checking. Persnickety thing. Love my H3 and I'm grateful to Tidradio for listening to users and making innovative products. Hope they win!
How's it look on uhf low?
Thanks for keeping us updated on these radios.I put in new firmware, and since I'm a railfan, there is notable tail squelch.Doesn't bother me. Not gonna make a scene about it.Keep up the good work!
Bill Lundberg!!!!!!!!!
Well, I think that you should switch versions (GMRS/Ham/Unlock), the power will change
Do you know this for a fact?
I have one on order. should be here Friday. I'm going to attempt to see if the TD-H3 would work with the TX Power Tune software. maybe we can push this radio to 10 watts or we can even things out on it?
Lol! Well done!
