Crispy Baked Oyster Mushrooms

    I'm getting lots of messages about people finding golden oyster mushrooms. When I have a lot of them, this is usually one of the first things I make. You can cook a grocery bag at a time with a couple baking sheets.
    The mushrooms end up golden brown, crisp and delicious. A perfect mushroom snack to have with a cold drink, or add to other dishes like salads, soup garnishes, or with baked fish.

    I just bought some golden oyster spores and about to start growing my own. I'm so excited to try them, and this recipe! Amazing video!

    We grow our own oyster mushrooms. There have been a bag of them in the fridge for about a week and I needed to figure out something to with them pretty fast. So I gave this recipe a try. Into the flour mixture I added salt, pepper, garlic powder, paprika and chili flakes. HOLY COW are these ever fantastic. They turned into mushroom chips! Just a tad healthier than potato chips! Thank you for this great recipe.

    This is the year of mushrooms for me. I have found Chicken in the Woods, Hen of the Woods & now oysters on my land. & yes, i have shared with neighbors ( & they share fresh fish).

    I don't know who is dropping a bag of these on your doorstep, but let me give you my neighborhood address. Lol they look delicious and I see a number of ways to use these in baked form.

      We used to put them on salads as croutons. Was killer.

    I just finished a batch of oyster mushrooms. They were sautéed and really good, but I want to try this next time!

    Do these have a strong flavor after baking? I cooked shiitakes once at too low a temp and they dried out in my air fryer...was vomit-inducingly earthy. Like very strong magic mushrooms but with zero fun

      They’re delicious. Idk what happened with your shiitakes, some of those can vary in flavor a lot.

      LOL I dont think you tossed them in oil, salt and then spiced them. Could even baste them in butter along the way
