I miss that ballpark. It had memorable angles and a cool scoreboard wall. Combined with the classic Marlins uniforms, there's a lot of appeal there. Now that Jeter's reign of terror is over, go back to these uniforms that you won 2 WS in.

We were beyond cheated.... it came out years later that Gary Sheffield offered to cut his contract in half if Huizinga didn't trade off the team. Huizinga never cared about anyone but himself.. that's why when he sold the team to John Henry (another snake) he kept all rights to the stadium parking and concessions on game days.. basically knee capping the Marlins until they could get their own stadium (which took another 15 years). Wayne Huizinga was an evil man in many, many ways.

CJ's 1 out single was the most clutch hit in Marlins history and one of the biggest in baseball history. 1-2 count, 2 outs away from losing the WS, and he drills a single to send the tying run to 3rd. Biggest unsung hero of any Game 7 ever if you ask me.

People are quick to blame Tony Fernandez, but he drove in the only 2 runs the Indians got. Also, word has it that Jose Mesa blew the save because he kept shaking off Sandy Alomar because he felt he knew better than him and Hargrove.

Alguien que me explique porque el equipo que defiende, al buscar el 2do out, no buscaron el doble play y cerrar el ining sin importar que había un corredor en 3ra base, si no que busca el out de un solo jugador, en ese caso el corredor de 3ra base a home?

It was nice watching the Marlins win in 2003 but I will never forget this team. Every single player on the line-up either had been or became an All-Star and they also had great pitching. (Gary Sheffield, Moises Alou, Devon White, Bobby Bonilla, Edgar Rentaria, Luis Castillo, Jeff Conine, Charles Johnson) Pitchers: (Kevin Brown, Al Leiter, Alex Fernandez, Rob Nenn).

Orlxndo The people in Miami that root for the Yankees are usually either New Yorkers who chose not to stay in NY (aka Snowbirds) or bandwagon fans that chose to root for them because they started winning. I myself have been a Marlins fan since day 1 when Charlie Hough threw their first pitch in 1993. If New York was so great, why don't their fans stay in NY?
