I believe you are referring to the events in Athens in December 1944. While not a full-scale civil war, this period marked a significant and turbulent time in Greek history.
In December 1944, towards the end of World War II, Greece was liberated from German occupation. However, as the German forces withdrew, a power vacuum emerged. There were tensions between various political and military factions, including communist forces, anti-communist groups, and British-backed government forces.
The situation escalated into street fighting in Athens between leftist and rightist factions, as well as clashes with British military forces. The British, who played a role in the post-war politics of Greece, sought to suppress the influence of the communist-led resistance movement.
These events, known as the "Dekemvriana" or December Events, marked a prelude to the Greek Civil War that would unfold in the coming years. The power struggles and conflicts during this period had a lasting impact on the political landscape of Greece, contributing to the polarization that eventually led to the Greek Civil War (1946-1949) between communist and anti-communist forces.

Probably so the video isn’t taken down for community guidelines. It’s sad because the brutality of this time needs to be talked about but it’s true

well, the dirty communists and socialists did, they were so evil, they wanted to steal and plunder and see any weakness to exploit.
I am grateful my grandfather was there and he told me with a smile on his face how he was shooting communists.
Sad I lost him at a young age, but glad he lived until 94 and was bright as ever.
