I remember being in seventh grade and hanging out with my brother and his friend Zack. We were at Zack’s house listening to Avenged Sevenfold songs on RUclips (Hail To The King, Nightmare, etc.) when all of a sudden THIS song came on. We got about a minute in before Zack turned it off because it was too much for him. I thought “this must be the heaviest music in existence.” I forgot the name of the band and song and forgot about this, my first encounter with death metal, for about four years until I heard Pierced From Within by Suffocation and decided it was time I started listening to death metal.
Kind of same. My friend showed it to me as a gag because I had a username "Nile" somewhere and 4 or so years later I find myself coming back to this to give it a listen every noe and then. It was waaay too much at first but as you get familiar with it, it kinda just clicks and makes sense
Avenged Sevenfold's last album ('The Stage') was pretty solid in my opinion. Not a patch on this though.
Wise choice, avenged sevenfold sound like "metal" for emo kids, my first exposure to death metal was cannibal corpse and i was hooked dont get me wrong i still enjoy some nu metal like korn but they arnt total crap like limpdickstick 🤪 i enjoy metal in general from aerosmith to dark funeral to carcass

As a kid I loved reading about ancient Egyptian religion. This song blew my mind when I first heard it, because it channeled the same monumental, grim, and insanely brutal conception of the underworld I had as a kid

North Owl I think part of that is us getting tired of overproduction and sticking to the natural death metal roots. This album sounds awesome through good stereos and headphones. Not a huge amount of bands sticking to these roots either. Guitars are even sounding more and more fake.

This band is fuckin awesome. They definitely have their own niche' within the genre' that makes their sound easy to respect. Nile(s) originality is always staple and they keep getting better and more defined with every album. This fuckin song is brutal. So is the band.

Nile relase new album in August, 28. Karl says that "What Should Not Be Unearthed" is similar to Annihilation of the Wicked I mean heavy, brutal riffs and fast songs. I think that new album will be one of the best, heil Nile!
