Well done Shenelle. You and your partner opened a new window to a hotel project which is totally out of the box. Thank you Bandula for running this place with the participation of the villagers. Although I have not seen or been to The Glenrock this place will become a hit. I am engaged for more than four decades in tourism in Sri Lanka who had the luck of travelling around this diverse country while staying in many hotels. Ella was a sleepy village around forty years ago which has become a modern "Hikkaduwa" at present which has its positive and negative sides. Bandula is lucky to built this hotel in a remote village and I hope and pray this will remain secluded in nature for many more decades to come. All the best to the owner and Shenelle.
u guys amazing ...proud of u..i think our youtubers must brings creative ,informative ,videos in english like you do..in that way our country can explore to the world ...thank you darling
Video is really insightful, Thank you so much. But I highly doubt about his saying "Bad things happen in Mirissa and Ella". Lol :D What sort of bad things he meant? He is just a typical religious guy who may have built a sustainable hotel (from his perspective) and says I'm the man! Even though he says he has protected the values of the village and everything, he could be wrong from a professional architect's perspective of sustainable building or eco-tourism. Nothing is 100% sustainable. As a country we should create all the experiences for tourists. People are different. Government is the responsible party who should make laws or regulations to protect nature or values by identifying those areas.

What a nice gentleman. He is as calm as the surroundings of Glenrock. More power to him.
