Prof. Dr. Robert Holzmann, the Governor of the Central Bank of Austria (Oesterreichische Nationalbank) discusses the normalization of monetary policy beyond inflation: the rationale, challenges and options at an event organised by the Faculty of Economics at Cambridge and the University of Cambridge Austrian Society on April 30th 2024.
Governor Robert Holzmann is a member of the Governing Council of the European Central Bank which sets monetary policy for the entire Euro area. The author of many books, he has had a long career in academia and international organizations including as a member of the Governing Council of the European Central Banks which sets monetary policy for the Euro area. Governor Holzmann has been involved with the OECD and the IMF as well and spent a decade at the World Bank.
