These Gas Tandoor Ovens are really good for home use but they have certain limitations as follows :-
1. These Tandoors cannot be used with Gas stove having glass top. Glass top can get cracked with the heat.
2. The middle burner baffle plate gets rusted very fast. It has to be made detachable therefore can be cleaned and greased after every use so as to prevent it rusting.
3. The middle burner baffle plates are to be of two different shapes. One plate with perforated holes. Coal can be used for non-vegetarian recipes to have smoky taste.
Other plate with vertical cup. Sand or gravels can be used for additional heat for vegetarian recipes like Cake, biscuits and many more.
Use of Coal, Sand, Gravels can be used along with middle burner baffle plates. This gives additional heat and saves consumption of costly gas fuel.
I have made suitable changes in my Gas Tandoor Oven and using it both ways for 5 years.
4. Tandoor Manufacturers should consider these suggestions and do suitable alteration.
